**A Tranquil Oasis by the Ocean** Nestled on Pleasure Island, Florida, the Island Beach Resort offers a serene escape with its prime location right next to the ocean. This resort truly embodies the essence of coastal living, providing guests with a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. The resort's location is its crowning jewel. Just steps away from the sandy shores and the soothing waves of the Atlantic Ocean, the Island Beach Resort offers unparalleled access to the beach. Whether you're a beach enthusiast or simply seeking relaxation by the water, this location is ideal. The accommodations at the Island Beach Resort are both clean and modern. Each room is tastefully designed with a contemporary flair, featuring comfortable furnishings and amenities that cater to the needs of every guest. From spacious beds to sleek bathrooms, the rooms provide a welcoming haven after a day spent exploring the island or lounging on the beach. The cleanliness of the resort is commendable. Throughout my stay, I noticed the meticulous attention to detail in maintaining the property. From the pristine lobby to the well-kept corridors, everything was spotless—a testament to the resort's commitment to ensuring a pleasant and hygienic environment for its guests. In addition to the inviting accommodations and pristine surroundings, the Island Beach Resort offers a range of amenities and services to enhance your stay. Take a dip in the sparkling pool, unwind with a cocktail at the beachside bar, or indulge in fresh seafood at the on-site restaurant—there's something for everyone to enjoy. Overall, my experience at the Island Beach Resort was delightful. The combination of its superb location by the ocean, the clean and modern rooms, and the attentive service made it a memorable

We were pretty unsatisfied. When reserving a room we requested a beach view- we got the parkinglot. Our room was absolutely filthy. They absolutely do not clean the rooms and the woman behind the desk said they don't since covid. The counter tops were disgustimg with crumbs and stickiness. The bathroom had hair everywhere. They don't clean the bathtub, toilets or sinks. Someones toothpaste was in the sink and pee on the toilet seat. Just repulsive. We cleaned everything ourselves- finally got in bed and it was filled with sand! Front desk staff just wasn't anyhelp. When inquiring about the activities ADVERTISED on their website she said 'she doesn't think they have any of that'. They advertise chair and cabana rentals but they are not affiliated with the rental company at all. The rental company has set hours but that doesnt mean anything. We were left waiting on the beach for 45 minutes because the rental guy was late. Island inn said they couldn't do anything about it even though it's all over their website! They did have grills as advertised. The tiki bar and pool opens at 11 but no set closing hours- front desk says 'when they feel like it'- pool and bar ALSO not owned by the resort and offer no help. Just very unpleasant. We spent a lot of money and could have paid half at an equal motel elsewhere.

** I want to clarify that I BELIEVE ...that these units are for the most part privately owned an rented out by owners through the condominium. I could be wrong but can say after looking at all of the other photos from the same place our room 402 was nothing like some of the others.. Process to get a room was easy same as any but the price vs the quality of room is not up to par. Our room had literal pieces of paint peeling off the wall. Patches in ceiling that had been glazed over with additional coats of paint to cover repairs. Refrigerator that barely worked, found a few ants in the cabinets where plates were. Parking was could have been better, not enough under the facility or on same grounds but across street which isn't horrible but with the amount of traffic it can get a little hectic, especially carrying multiple items. For the good... it is directly on the beach an has a little bar downstairs an by the pool so you can grab a drink an relax. Their area also has a volleyball court which is nice. On the beach itself there are cabanas that you can rent but frankly they are left empty an not managed half the time. Grab one an relax. If I can add room photos I will through an edit. Out eating at the moment

Stayed June 19th 2025. We stayed here for the first time in 2019. Don't remember the room number but loved it. Decided to have our wedding block done here for our wedding on Sunset Beach in 2020. We stayed in room 301 in 2020 and really enjoyed it. It had a clean nice stand shower in the bathroom with a cubby hole in the wall. (bathroom is tiny otherwise). It had LED lights around the top of the ceiling of the room that were blue and really neat. Nice little kitchen and dining table with chairs. Nice balcony views! We came back June 19th in room 301 again for our 5 year anniversary! Well this time was a little different than our last 2 visits. Pros: -location is everything! absolutely love the location to the beach and bay and shopping/dining. needs to have a few more dining/ice cream around it but still pretty decent! super close to publix. -views off the balcony are beautiful. can see beach and outside your front door you see the bay. -every room has a full size fridge! -beds clean. -this room had an adjustable bed that actually worked. it was so comfortable! -We got in around 7pm on arrival and the lady at front desk was super friendly. explained everything to us asked if we ever been before and was very helpful and happy to hear we were back! never ran into any rude employees thankfully!

Cons: -Our rooms shower sucked this time. We got in the first night and there was no hot water, not even lukewarm, literally just a tinge of warmth. I was very frustrated. As our night before's hotel shower had zero pressure/warmth I didn't wash my hair. I just wanted a nice hot shower here. While we were showering the water kicked out pressure and started heating up very hot out of nowhere. Which was great but took way too long. Remind you this took about 15 FULL minutes to do every single night. The water should be hot from the start. -The parking sucks. absolutely sucks. no one seems to ever leave this hotel so every single day you come back you're basically forced to park across the street and get no close parking. sucks to have that constantly. needs to have more parking like a garage in this place. -Our rooms floor was so filthy. you could literally feel the sand and dirt on the floor as soon as we walked in. the shower mat was like black from being wet and the nasty dirt on the floor. We always wear shoes in hotels but if you don't, your feet are going to be disgusting!! -The blue LED light did not work at all this time. The dining table in there is all marked up, and dinged. Doesn't look nice anymore.

Other than the cons, we would def come back because we love the quietness this place offers, the older crowd (its def not a party spot thankfully), the calm beach, and it's just so spacious out on the beach. You are also allowed to bring anything you'd like unlike at Destin. So we LOVE that. It will always be our tradition to come back every big milestone to visit!...

VERY POOR! The place is dirty and musty. It's obvious management doesn't care. Changed rooms twice, all no good. The room we booked had a bad odor and was obviously not cared for. The closet door was broken and didn't slide, the room safe was broken, plumbing was sloppy with mismatched fixtures. Hair dryer was broken and the wall mount had what appeared to be blood in it. Black build-up on the sink sprayer looked like mold, in any case had not been cleaned. Because of the odor we asked for another room. The desk clerk, Tyler, was very nice and helpful and and was able to switch us next door for two nights, but we'd have to switch after that. Lost our king bed for two queens. Fine. The new room was generally cleaner, but the next morning we found hundreds of small ant-like bugs crawling on the kitchen counter and breakfast table. They politely sent someone to spray for the bugs. Got rid on most, but not all. We then had to switch to a room on the fourth floor from the second floor, pack and unpack again, not fun. The new room had a musty odor also. The dresser smelled so bad we could not put clothes in it. They had no other rooms available. We really should have left and looked for another hotel, but that's not easy or convenient in the middle of a vacation, so we stayed. The second night I started having sinus issues, maybe a coincidence, but I don't think so. We asked at the desk (at the second room switch) if we could get some type of refund for the inconvenience. The clerk said she would have to ask the manager, but he wasn't in and she didn't know when he would be in. Never heard from him. The lobby was in disarray, with the ceiling opened up and wires hanging all over. The smoke detector was hanging and had not light on, I suspect it had been disconnected. We saw a contractor working only one day, mostly taking breaks outside. Construction materials were left on the ground outside and were getting wet from the outdoor showers. They are bring wet construction materials into the building! The elevator floor mat was filthy and the ceiling panels were missing. The elevator inspection certificate expired in August 2023. One cab made a loud clank as if passed the second floor and once the the lights blinked and the cab didn't move. Stopped using the elevator. Insufficient parking near the building - had to park in a lot across the street each night (actually a nicer lot than near the building). If you want a beach umbrella and two chairs it will cost you $45 per day, plus tip (the tip screen comes up first when paying be card). Can't call this a resort, just a run down, poorly cared for hotel. Sorry for the long winded review (I could go on longer), but this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. This place is a health and safety hazard and I will be contacting the health and building...

DO NOT GO HERE unless they have the water heater system replaced, the construction done, and the owner of our condo--"Tyler"--more customer friendly.|First, the building is under massive construction and the water is supplied by an "on demand" system which, during non-peak hours, gives you alternately scaldingly hot, lukewarm, or cold water. This was the experience in my unit. Not conducive to a comfortable vacation. After multiple phone calls and texts to explain this situation over a 2 day period to the condo owner as well as several conversations with maintenance staff, I sensed the owner never accepted the truth I described above. Everything had been "worked out" with the maintenance staff in her view. My view is that an explanation is not equal to offering some kind of reduced fee for the living conditions of the condo.|Second, I was trying to relax in my unit during the day only to have construction noise so loud in the unit next to me I could not listen to an app on my phone. Moreover, there were some other smaller items (the bathroom sink stopper was broken off) that indicated that this owner was not on top of keeping this unit in good rental shape.|Third, (to further give background: the "Inn" is actually owned by several owners who then lease out units on VRBO, etc.) In looking at my unit's water plumbing, the maintenance person let slip that our owner, "Tyler", is an owner who does not always do the best job of updating her units. Hence, we had water connections that were not the best, he said, which added to the water problems. |Fourth, "Tyler" was not sympathetic to our complaints and would not consider any refund. I stayed for 2 out of the 5 days of my scheduled stay. Granted I, was not owed a refund due to the cancellation policy. I was willing to pay for the 2 nights. Still, I believe a good business person who is customer service oriented would have granted some kind of refund--part of the total. This owner absolutely refused and hence did not seem customer-friendly.|Fifth, after surveying the other reviews of this property on TripAdvisor along with the building owner's responses to them, let me just respond in advance that even though the building owner and my condo owner may write that they seek to satisfy customers, etc., I urge great caution in believing them. The condo owner kept leaving me cheery texts that everything was working out when it clearly was not. And, she would not accept my final decision that the unit was unlivable for a vacation rental. This behavior is NOT consistent with a desire to...
