Air Adventures: St. Pete/Clearwater — Attraction in Saint Petersburg

In October my wife and I returned to Clearwater Beach for our annual get away and had the opportunity to reserve "air time" with Dane and Sky Surfing Aviation. This was a bucket list item for me and it hit the nail on the head. Dane and I went out for almost 3 hours and we flew south, hugging the coast line about 1000 ft in the air where it’s less turbulent, compared to areas around the city. You could see everything. Absolutely amazing. On the return flight back to Clearwater, I sat in the front and had the controls. Super fun, actually very easy to fly and extremely safe - Dane is also an instructor with many flight hours under his belt. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in flying - you just may get hooked! I did and will be doing it again on our next trip but will be bringing a GoPro with me this time. (There is an adaptor for a GoPro on the wing, so you will able to capture all of your flight experience ahead of you, while in the air.) Awesome experience!!! Got this as a gift for someone and they absolutely loved it. They're actually planning on going back with other friends. Dane was a very cool guy. I will be back to try this amazing adventure as well. Bucket List Worthy!!!

6/18/16 Came back to try sky surf for myself and it was beyond Spectacular. It was a windy week with unpredictable weather but Dane kept in contact with me to ensure I had a perfect time schedule. The flight was AWESOME, view BEAUTIFUL and he gave me the chance to steer for awhile, which surprisingly wasn't has hard as I thought. Overall it was a nice and relaxing experience with a GREAT view. Plan to take my parents next and would highly recommend to everybody....

One of the BEST experiences I've ever had! My mom and I took a trip to Clearwater and wanted to do something we've never done before so we both booked flights with Dane for our fist day in Florida. I can't even begin to explain how amazing this flight was - you get the thrill of being high up in the air being able to see everything while not being enclosed in a plane so you can actually see all around you. I was lucky enough to see some dolphins, manta rays, and even a matinee! Dane was a fantastic pilot, giving me lots of incredible facts about the beach and area while we flew around.
