Joe, Don, Megan and whomever else concerned,
I called today to ask some questions regarding an Amazon Prime return I needed to initiate and process. Megan was rude to me over the phone. When I came inside, Megan was rude to me in person too. Megan informed me I'd need to spend $20 per box, for 6 separate boxes because Amazon Prime sent me 6 separate labels. I spoke with 3 supervisors at Amazon and they stayed on the phone with me to trouble shoot while I stood in the UPS lobby. The "Manager on Duty" was Don and although Megan tried to get his assistance with me, he couldn't be bothered to address me directly, ever. Don Sheets ignored me for over an hour while I tried to rectify this situation. The Amazon Supervisor asked if they could slightly discount the 6 boxes at $20 a piece so they could issue me a credit for $100, since these were pre-paid, pre-printed labels. Megan would not budge on the price, and although Megan and I repeatedly asked Don, the Manager, for help... he refused to get involved. I've been a customer here at this location for several years. This used to be my go to for all personal AND company related office needs. I will never visit this location again, and I will share my experience with everyone and anyone in Downtown St. Pete. I'm saddened and disgusted. During this pandemic, when a customer comes into your establishment and is trying to spend money, you MUST give satisfactory customer service. I see several 1 star reviews that both mention and describe Megan as being awful AND mentioning the exorbitant pricing!!! I know this franchise won't continue to stay in business much longer with these horrible employees, management...
Read moreI've visited this ups store on 3 occasions. The first was pleasant and the last two were terrible. The same specific unhappy woman was working the last two times. When I visited the store yesterday the woman was helping a customer with a lost package. In no time 3-4 more people shuffled in behind me. When it was my turn to be assisted I said I had a happy return in which she says kiosk and points. I said for a happy return, those are usually at this desk? She again pointed at the kiosk (I knew they don't get processed there so I did not appreciate the pointing). Of course when I scan my happy return barcode it doesn't work. I had an amazon return to do as well so I did that since I would have to wait back in line anyways. The printer jammed and tore my label in half. At this point she was getting told off by another unhappy customer about her attitude which I was not going to interrupt because it is the truth. I got back in line, this time when it was my turn I let her know the printer was jammed to which she said with attitude, "we can still use this" and slapped the label on my bag (in my experience when a label is torn sometimes it cannot be processed). I asked if she could again process my happy return as the kiosk printer is jammed (knowing still that I was originally correct they get processed at the desk). She replied with "happy returns can only be done at this desk" to which my response was "Ma'am you told me I had to use the kiosk". I will go a little further out of my way to use the 4th street location from now on. Everyone is entitled to a bad day, however, this is just not the place to go if you're trying to have a positive...
Read moreHave gone here plenty of times. Have usually talked to a Joe. Not this time, and reading the previous reviews, they must have issues with their insurance. Too bad that is not my problem and I will use Fedex Office or create my own label for the post office. I was told that to ship a laptop they need 3 inches of foam around all sides of the entire package. On top of that, the box has to be BRAND NEW. Sorry, I am not mailing a mattress and paying for your crappy box and the weight of that no thanks. Before, he had assumed I did not want any insurance on it.
I put the laptop in a styrofoam bag. The bag inside finely knit bubblewrap wrapped several times. Over that the larger bubble wrap. The laptop was surrounded by styrofoam carriage. Box was from Amazon was just fine. Not going to be a problem unless they drag it behind their truck to the destination....
In the middle of that, I was interrupted to deal with other customers who came in after.
The reason for the one star is because he stated he would insure it for loss and not damage. That is the start of a SCAM.
I do not appreciate trying to be scammed. Going to take the measly 40 bucks to ship the package and steal my laptop also? I don't think so.
I deal with sensitive machines and so there is no need to go back here anymore. They have lost my trust. The downtown post office is not good either, and Saint Petersburg is running out of options. But there are a couple...
