From Converted Baseball Field to Fun Professional Futbol Pitch

Al Lang Stadium is quickly becoming one of my favorite sporting venues. Not because of a state of the art facility or crazy luxury opportunities but, because in a rate occasion the value is fair and doesn’t feel like a gouge to me or my family.

Now that doesn’t mean this place is cheap when it comes to food, alcohol and clothing but, it is a fair price for what you get.

What really makes this location shine is actually the team and culture of the Rowdies. This team has great support from their fans and the passion I experienced was well worth the price of entry.

This venue is family friendly from seating, atmosphere, and most importantly financial. This place is fun and full of buzz when the Rowdies are their for a home game.

If you have a child that plays soccer then follow the team on Instagram and find out when the team holds free clinics. It is so Worth the experience. From getting coaching from players to getting an autograph, it’s awesome!

The memories created on our last trip will last a lifetime.

If you’ve never been and want to try something different with the family on a Saturday night. I can’t recommend...

Attended the Live & Counting Crows concert on 7/31. I liked the fact that I could see the performance & had a semi close up view of the stage. LIVE was awesome as they always are!! As far as the other aspects of using this location as a concert venue, it just probably shouldn't be done again without doing some major tweaking. Security wasn't great & anyone could basically walk in or out of the stadium, even if they didn't have tickets. They couldn't even maintain control around the restrooms & the lines were so long that they were wrapped around the food areas. People were waiting so long that a bunch of them finally got out of the line & snuck past the barriers to use one of the porta potties...Who wants to pay just to spend 3 hours waiting to pee?!?! It was chaos but could have easily been prevented if the venue had made more restroom facilities available. I'm not sure if I would go back there for another event but if I ever do, I'll make sure to hold it so I don't get stuck in a 10 mile long line!

Want to know about Florida's more unique side?

UNDER RENOVATION NOW. The stadium location is lovely, right on the water which can be almost a distraction. There is not a bad seat in the house, but unfortunately, there are bad lines. Many, many, many of the women spent a LONG time in the bathroom line. The lines are so ridiculous, the women have to sneak into the handicapped men’s room. I hope this is fixed during the current renovation. Food/drink priced OK, 4.00 for soda/water. Seat prices are reasonable and stadium is easy to get in and out of. If you stay at the Hilton next door you can just walk across the street & get in/out with ease. The Saturday morning Farmers market is awesome for a Saturday morning with the family and friends, great foods, finds & flowers! Beware: if you are not from the area, the 1 way streets can be a severe challenge, some even deadend into...

Al Lang Stadium is a really cool place to catch a Rowdies game. I’m not a diehard fan, but every time I’ve gone, I’ve had a great time. The vibe is super laid-back, and the crowd brings just the right amount of energy without it being overwhelming. The location right on the water is awesome. You get these amazing sunset views during the game, and it honestly makes the whole experience even better. It’s one of those spots where you can enjoy the game and just relax at the same time. The stadium is easy to get around, and the seats have a good view from almost anywhere. Food and drinks are decent, and getting in and out isn’t too much of a hassle, even being downtown. Overall, it’s a fun night out whether you’re into soccer or just looking for something different to do in St. Pete. Definitely recommend checking it out.

My daughter and I went to our first rowdies soccer game. What a wonderful experience. I have been to Al Lang stadium many times before when it was a baseball field. It was fun to see how much the stadium hasn't changed and how much it has. The improvements that were made to accommodate a soccer stadium was remarkable. Access the stadium was clean and swift. The staff that were Manning the gates were very friendly and accommodating. Lots of food options in beverage choices and multiple locations to purchase said wares made the lines short and quick. The restrooms, I assume, where the original ones when it was a baseball field. It was surprisingly quite clean and in good repair. I recommend anybody looking for a good night a good clean fun to visit LA stadium to watch a soccer game.
