Pier Dolphin Cruises — Attraction in Saint Petersburg

This was, by far, THE.BEST.DOLPHIN. CRUISE. EVER, and I have been on a few. The highlights : the boat was big and there were only 14 on board. This meant that when the dolphins were showing up and showing off around us, we could all see- with ease. Other cruises you have to fumble over lots of people to get a view. But! Another thing that was so great were the captain and the guide. Very genuine, nice people. You felt like you were part of their family. Sweet people. But!!!! The best part was ….the dolphins! Our captain “pursued” them , meaning, when he saw one, he went right over to them and got in their space. The dolphins seemed very at ease with them and a few times they swam alongside the boat, and even jumped! As if this wasn’t enough, he took us to a bird “Mangrove “(??) and we got up close and personal seeing a beautiful array of birds. Children were also offered the opportunity to drive the boat (special memories they will cherish). All in all, a really great day! We had an incredible time with Tatiana and Captain Christian. They were both very knowledgable about the area and the dolphins especially. We were surrounded by 3-4 pods of dolphins within 20 minutes of being on the water. We caught them at a great time of day and they were very active. It was incredible to see them up close, they must really recognize the boat, as they came very close by.

We made our way to bird island where we saw some incredible birds close up and we also got to spy on some multi-million dollar mansions on the way.

There were drinks, snacks, a full bathroom and cool merchandise available on the boat. They also went above and beyond on by helping charge my phone as it was dying as we were approaching the shore.

It was very clean and well looked after. I took a trip to St Pete with my 3 month old before returning to work and this put the cherry on top. The stroller and infant were allowed onboard for minimal cost, an my ticket was great value for the experience.

Overall very impressed and I will be back with my young children and husband when...

An Unforgettable Family Experience!

In June of this year, our family had one of the best vacation experiences, while visiting Florida—and we owe it all to Captain Christian and his amazing First Mate! From the moment we stepped aboard, their kindness, knowledge, and thoughtfulness stood out. They made the entire cruise both entertaining and educational.

We were lucky enough to spot dolphins, a variety of local wildlife, and even a surprise appearance from a shark in the bay! The boat was well-equipped for all ages, with snacks, drinks available for purchase, and—parents take note—a clean, convenient bathroom on board (a huge plus when traveling with little ones!).

One of the highlights for our daughters was getting the chance to sit in the captain’s seat and help “drive” the boat—an experience they’re still talking about. Captain Christian's upbeat personality and deep knowledge of the area and it's animals truly made this cruise exceptional.
