St. Petersburg Municipal Marina — Attraction in Saint Petersburg

I finally took my family to check out the new version of the St. Pete Pier & definitely saw distinct differences from its predecessor. I was impressed with the various ecosystem areas along the walkway & connections to the beach side. Too bad the Waterpark was closed since I know everyone (including the grandkids) would've enjoyed that. Was very hot walking up to the pier but back side shade & the seabreeze cooled us down. Interesting design for the steps on the back side with ramp built within the steps but I did see plenty of parents concerned about their young ones possibly overstepping & falling in that area...me included. My grandson loved chasing the birds around & liked the moment someone helped a young boy out as he prepared to start fishing. There's something for everyone there from the restaurants, gift store, bait shop, discovery center & little shops at & along pier walkway. Other than wondering why this area is only parking area where the Handicapped have to pay for parking in St....

I called today, inquiring about long term slip rental. The lady that answered asked the size of boat, I told her, she said yes, come on down and the phone went dead. I called back, said I think we got cut off, I was inquiring about a long term slip rental. She said we didn't get cut off, I told you to come down. It was obvious she didn't want to talk with me on the phone. I asked if she could at least share with me the rates. There was this grunt on the phone and I could hear her saying "ahh, these people" as she was putting me on hold.

I waited on hold for about 3 minutes and then hung up. She was so rude and very unprofessional. Management of the marina should call and inquire about a boat slip rental and experience how this employee treats people.

I live 50 minutes away, I'm going to drive down there this coming weekend and inquire in person. I don't want to try and talk with that lady again. (at least not...

Unprofessional is an understatement! I got the same come on down.. click response.! I just bought this boat from the renters of slip SD163. (SOUTH DOCKS). Took it to get the "required" inspection b4 I could even get a slip. And FAILED b4 I even got to the fuel island! Due to bottom growth, I explained I had made arrangements with the young man the I seen on pier 1 about scraping it as soon as I got a slip i. My name, and gave him the information. This was Unacceptable.... I then proceeded to get attitude and criticism from my boat (FRESH OUTTA SD163!), because I wanted to finish the inspection. That way I knew what had to be corrected in order to get a slip here. I WILL MOST DEFINITELY PAY A LITTLE MORE TO NOT DEAL WITH THIS ISH and have BETTER amenities!. Way to lose business and also to treat a USMC Combat Vet. Ty...
