Extremely close to the cruise dock, just the length of your ship and you ready to eat, drink and explore. Wonderful There are many options to get around the island or just stay local. There's a great array of shops including a fantastic local supermarket which has excellent produce, alcohol and medication. Decent prices, no gouging tourists which is very refreshing. The shops can supply everything you want for swimming, hats, lovely clothes for men and women and souvenirs. Bit pricey but so lovely, treat yourself you might not come here again, but I bet you will. Charlotte Amelie is a beautiful town and is probably a great base if you have time to venture out. There are masses of restaurants and bars, shops and great places to stroll. The sand taxis are roomy, open air and great fun. Bit like a converted truck meets the tourist land trains. I've never seen them anywhere else, they are plentiful and take you all over. This is a gorgeous port stop only spoiled by an early departure and being stuck onboard by US customs and immigration which has to be done onboard. We still had half a day and it is worth it even for a couple of hours.

Most spaces directly outside of a cruise ship in port, house some sort of shopping area for the guests... this "mall," is MASSIVE with building after building of vendors and services... if you look at the included pictures, i captured many stores at this sight here in St. Thomas... you'll also notice a large majority of them being jewelry... all the shopping you can handle... THIS ADDENDUM HIGHLIGHTS TWO SIDE BY SIDE VENDORS LOCATED INSIDE HAVENSIGHT MALL, LUXE FRAGRANCES, AND URBAN SOURCE... These two stores, amongst a sea of similar vendors, stand out as ones with both deep discounts, and trendy product lines, including a large selection of "Psycho Bunny" offerings from ex-Ralph Lauren designer and partners, Robert Godley, Robert Goldman, and Eddie Fortuna... I was very fortunate to shop there on Black Friday, and was very impressed by the deep discounts offered (that almost no other vendor in the entire massive buildings complex offered on this pseudo, sales holiday), and deals given on high end retail fragrances...

Shopping at Havensight is an event in and of itself. All kinds of stores that sell so many things, and it's hard to list them all. If you're looking for an item in particular, you'll probably find it here. Caribana is my favorite shop. It's part souvenir shop, part general store. The selection of goods is excellent. If you have limited time and are unable to tour the entire complex, I recommend going here first. In addition, there are several non-touristy retailers to serve varying needs: a post office, a nail salon, a grocery store, and a Medicine Shop. It's best to visit Havensight when the cruise ships are in, as many of its retailers are closed during non-ship days. The restaurants are excellent and are definitely worth checking out. My favorite is The Smoking Rooster, which is situated adjacent to the WICO dock. It's fun to look at the ships while you dine, or to just look at the ships, period.

Many visitors coming in at St. Thomas' other port CROWN BAY AUSTIN "BABE" TERMINAL like to come here to shop and skip main street completely. They are familiar with the stores, the sales people, their products, and because there are many unique stores, exclusive to this WICO port, Havensite Mall location.

'HAVENSITE' is the mall and 'WICO' (WEST INDIAN COMPANY, LIMITED) is the cruise ship port terminal station. 1934 was the year it was dredged specifically for cruise ships.

The VIRGIN ISLAND'S G.E.R.S. (GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES INVESTMENT SYSTEM), is a quasi government corporation for retiree's investment in the private sector. The G.E.R.S. bought both properties from Danish Crown and other private owners as 2 separate entities simultaneously for a total price of 54 million dollars.

Yacht Haven Grande is next door and is another, distinctly different mall. Almost attached to HAVENSITE MALL, however separated more by its architectural style and the higher end luxury goods that it carries: Coach, Louis Vouiton, *Gucci, are just a few stores there - exclusively luxury stores.

HAVENSITE HAS: CARIBBEAN MUSIC AT MUSIC MAN JEWEL HOUSE - AMAZING JEWELRY SUNGLASSES - MAUI JIMS/RAY BANS DILLY DALLY RESTAURANT- VARIED FOOD DYNASTY LIQUER CARIBANA LIQUER TAP AND STILL - BURGERS AND BEER T SHIRT SHOPS BOOLCHANDS CAMERAS (GREAT PRICES) PHARMACY AND CONVENIENCE STORE - MEDICINE SHOPPE

*NOTE: GUCCI DID CLOSE ITS DOORS AFTER THE HURRICANE (IRMA/MARIA 2017). WE BELIEVE THAT THEY MAY BE REOPENING IN THE FUTURE AND POSSIBLY ONLY CLOSED TO RENOVATE. STAY TUNED...

Havensite Mall in St. Thomas serves as a bustling hub, especially for cruise ship passengers arriving at the nearby WICO cruise ship dock. The mall boasts a diverse array of shops, primarily focusing on jewelry, along with restaurants and boutiques.

One of the mall's standout features is its proximity to the WICO cruise ship dock, making it a convenient stop for visitors disembarking for a day of exploration. However, despite the high volume of daily visitors, the property itself could benefit from better maintenance and upkeep.

Despite these shortcomings, Havensite Mall offers plenty to see and do. Visitors can explore the various shops and boutiques, sample local cuisine at the restaurants, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the area. Additionally, the presence of numerous taxis provides easy access to explore other parts of the island, adding to the convenience of the location.

A notable attraction in close proximity to Havensite Mall is the St. Thomas Skyride, located just across the street. This popular attraction offers breathtaking views of the island and is a must-visit for anyone exploring the area.

In conclusion, while Havensite Mall serves as a convenient and bustling hub for cruise ship passengers, there is room for improvement in terms of property maintenance. Nonetheless, the variety of shops and restaurants, coupled with easy access to transportation and nearby attractions, make it a worthwhile destination for visitors...
