Church & State — Attraction in Salt Lake City

Careful - homeless pan-handle inside. I was just approached by 2 men asking for money. After I said no they moved on to another, and got him to make a purchase for them.

A cool place. Very cool interior and for the past 3 days was an intriguing co-working space. Perhaps the less jaded will rate this place 5 stars.

But over the past 3 days that I've come here to purchase coffee and work on my laptop, a homeless man has come in and yelled at all of the patrons in an extremely aggressive manner, and now 2 panhandles have successfully guilted a patron for money.

Likely I am not the target consumer. The less jaded of you may have no issue with this. But living in Downtown SLC I experience more than enough panhandling. So when I come into an establish and purchase goods or services, I expect to not be harassed while on the company grounds.

EDIT: an hour after posting this review, another homeless man came in and asked a woman if he could have the cinnamon roll she was eating. She looked at her friend in disbelief, then gave him the roll. This is a place for charity, so if you're into giving out food and drink to the less fortunate,...

We had our wedding here and it was the most amazing experience ever! Our wedding coordinator, Blair, was amazing and on top of everything so our wedding ran smoothly and efficiently. Blair dealt with all the vendors the day of which made it less stress on me and I appreciated that so much! She was very flexible on when we dropped our wedding things off and when we picked them up. She has experience in coordinating tons of weddings so she was able to answer any questions and also suggest many ideas to make our wedding fun. We had about 140 people at the ceremony and then about 50 more arrive for the reception. The ceremony was done upstairs and then everybody moved downstairs for cocktail hour while the staff flipped the upstairs space for the reception. The space was perfect and it did not seem squished at all. We were able to bring in our own alcohol and bar tender which was perfect for what we wanted.The stain glass windows, brick walls and the bistro lighting made the ambiance so romantic and was very unique compared to the places we have been to for weddings in Utah. Not only was he fully focused on his work, but he also took the time to ensure that I was comfortable and satisfied with the designs. It's evident that he's dedicated to his craft and values his clients' input. Additionally, he has been incredibly responsive to my messages regarding touch-ups and has gone above and beyond to make sure I'm happy with the final result.
