I have only been here twice. First experience was just before closing and I was just browsing. Even after the store closed and I was waiting for my friend in the changing room, the staff was super friendly and even let me wander around some more even after my friend was done trying on clothes.
So two days later I decided to come back with my mom and sister, hoping they would enjoy the place like my friend and I had.
Big mistake. The service was crap. From judgmental stares to lack of customer service, they were unprofessional in every way possible. One would think they had incense sticks up their butts. But whatever, their piss poor attitude wouldn't stop me from browsing and looking at the jewelry.
I then proceeded to look at rings and someone finally decided to help me. Yes, it took a little longer than normal for me to find a ring because they didn't have my size in what I wanted. The helper was sighing as if annoyed that it would take me so long to pick a ring and didn't bother even speaking to me as I was trying them on. (yes, it's nice to get input and have someone's opinions. It's okay to talk to strangers in a store, especially customers.) Seriously, I didn't have to buy a ring and don't want to waste money on something I'm going to regret. The lady wasn't at all friendly. I'm sorry you're annoyed that I want something to fit on my middle finger I would have used to flip you off had you not left in a hurry after I finally made a decision.
Then while my mom, sister and I were browsing further along a wall a woman decided to get out a sliding wall and "discreetly" block us from behind the counter (because apparently she figured we were six year olds who would wander behind "forbidden" territory of the counter.) It was rude and blatantly obvious.
The cashier was probably the friendliest and after struggling to see me take off the price tag asked if she could cut it off for me. So thanks random cashier, but it doesn't make up for your other coworkers lack of customer service skills.
So in all honesty great place, awesome stuff, but really depends on who's working because my second experience made me never...
Read moreThis place is notorious for making people feel extremely uncomfortable even if you're not doing anything wrong. The moment you walk in there, you are bein watched like a hawk. I understand theft is a big thing. Especially in salt, Lake City and there are ways to go about that, but making people who have been longtime customers who havent done anything wrong.. feel extremely uneasy? ...It Takes away from the whole purpose of that store, which is energy, love and spreading that light and love. Also the customer service is awful. I went in and I asked the question if the crystals were ethically sourced, and they didn't know. I aksed if they could go ask someone who had knowledge and they told me " no" I asked another question about where they're from( the crystals) because without knowledge, I can easily determine if it was ethically sourced. ...which in all honesty should be common knowledge for people that work there, especially selling those crystals. They didn't know and they seemed annoyed that I even asked the question. I also asked a question, what Stone would be good for a certain ailment..And they didn't know. Having workers that don't know jack crap about crystals.. Sorta defeats the purpose love working there... Don't you think? There was a boy who was looking at the fish and they made him so happy. He wasn't throwing anything in there. He was literally just enjoying life. And a customer came up and reprimanded him for being close to the fish. The whole energy in this store is off. I'm sad to say that going. There is not a pleasurable experience anymore. And if you look at the comments, plenty of other people also feel the same way. It's a shame really, because that store used to be so lively. Unfortunately people would be better off going to a different store because the moment that you walk in, you will feel the exact same thing. Please do your research and please read the comments before coming...
Read moreI’ve shopped here many times over the years and I’ve always been ok with my experiences. I’m not sure what has changed, but the staff is not particularly friendly, which seems odd due to the type of store it is. My daughter, best friend, and I went in today after lunch as my daughter had a $100 gift card to spend. We each picked out a couple items and were browsing and having a good time. It didn’t take long for me to realize that an older gentleman that worked there was following us around and “watching” us. He did not offer customer service, he did not offer us a basket to ease his mind about the items in our hands. He just followed us everywhere. It was uncomfortable, invasive, and quite frankly ruined the shopping experience. He had to step off the floor to go to the back but before he did he asked another worker behind the counter to come out and watch us. She did for a few minutes and then approached us and asked if she could place our items at the register. We gave them to her, but at that point I decided I would not be purchasing anything. As he came back out to the floor he thanked her. It didn’t make me feel real good about spending my money.
I understand that theft is probably a huge issue at this place. I’ve worked retail. I get it. But customer service is the number one way to deter theft. Not following your customers around and treating them as if they’ve committed a crime. Asking to place our items behind the counter was as close as we were going to get to customer service, but it still reeked with “you’re stealing” at that point. They could have simply offered us a basket and let us shop and have fun, or the gentleman could have started us a pile at the register from the get go instead of following us for 30 minutes. I left empty handed and knowing that I won’t be returning. Really disappointed...
