The Brides' Shop — Attraction in Salt Lake City

10 out of 10 experience here. I am the maid of honor in my best friend's upcoming wedding and we spent a few days searching for her perfect dress. Several places we went to left her feeling discouraged and the opposite of how any woman would want to feel during the search for her dress. After leaving a well known bridal dress shop, we made our way over here. I told my bestie that we were going to find her perfect dress, that it would be everything she's been wanting, in her size, and under budget. I said, I am manifesting it now. Once we got here, we were immediately taken by the beauty of their historic building. The saleswoman was the best interaction we had had, she brought us in and kindly explained their process. We were early to the appointment so she let us browse. During this time, I spied a dress that had everything my bestie was looking for down to the size and price. Only, it wasn't in the color she'd been looking for. I asked her to give it a try. She agreed and it was placed in the fitting room. While walking past to browse the other dresses, her sister and I kept staring at the dress hanging there and just felt that it was the dress for her. Once her others were selected, she began the try on process. She looked beautiful in everything but when she came out in this dress, she was speechless. The wonderful saleswoman placed a veil on her head, she turned around, and we all started crying. She was breathtaking and knew then and there, this was her dress. I cannot recommend this establishment enough. I am so grateful for how magical they made my bestfriend feel after the less than ideal experiences she had been having. Let me start by saying that I am an out-of-state bride and essentially flew 2500 miles to try on dresses for the first time, with my mom. Words do not describe how blessed I was to have had my appointment with Parley. Neither my mom nor I knew what to expect, but Parley completely made the entire experience a dream!

Despite the usual first-time-wedding-dress-shopping and naked-in-front-of-a-complete-stranger jitters, Parley made me feel so totally comfortable from the start. She allowed us to make a few selections and even offered an option she thought would suit me. She carefully [and respectfully] helped me in and out of countless dresses so I didn’t have to worry about tripping or damaging anything. She dutifully helped me to clip and tuck each dress in a way that made me feel each was designed for me. She found the most perfect veil for each option to help me style each look for the full effect. She even went so far as to help me pin the dress once I decided to customize a few elements - she truly wanted us to see the vision.

When I called in a panic that we thought we picked THE ONE but I needed to see it once more and, of course, was leaving town in two days, she got me in the next day and even attempted to rearrange the schedule so she could assist me again.

In the end, I can’t even begin to reflect on the day I found my wedding dress without first thinking of the wonderful Parley and how incredible she made me feel about myself.

I will add that I originally intended to have my dress shipped cross-country to be altered. After only a few hours in The Bride’s Shop and with their incredible associates, I made the decision to keep all alterations in-house and make the return trips for my fittings....

Alexandra made my wedding dress shopping experience so special. She was an amazing stylist! If I could leave 10 stars I would. She is equal parts professional and personable. I had two appointments with Alexandra and the brides’ shop. First appointment I went in with my fiancé to find my wedding dress. The second time I went in with my mom and sisters to show them the dress I picked out. Both times went perfectly. Alexandra listened to me and really understood my vision for my dress. She asked really insightful questions that helped me better articulate what I was looking for and what I was liking and not liking about the dresses I was trying on. My second appointment was scheduled just to show my mom the dress I picked out. Alexandra added a veil to the look to give my mom the full picture. She picked out the most perfect veil that mimicked the shape and drapery of the dress. At no point during the second appointment did I feel pressured to buy the veil, but her choice was so perfect and exquisite that we ordered the first veil she put on me. Alexandra made dress shopping so easy and comfortable! She made me feel absolutely beautiful. I left the appointment feeling like Alexandra was an old friend, and I left knowing I would be the most beautiful bride on my wedding day. The other stylists were awesome too.
