One of my favorite parks in SLC. The park is small but well-maintained most of the year. People can have a picnic, meditate, and play frisbee or balls. My less favorite thing in this park is the people who leave their dogs without a leash. I love animals, but I do not like them to chase me. Some dogs go inside the water pond and chase baby ducks. Some owners call them, but others let the dogs have fun even if they scare the little ducks.

When compared the rest of the "Stepford-ish" surrounding area, the religious influence is apparent when you compare something as simple as the grounds of the "Brigham Young Historic Park" with City Creek Park. City Creek Park was certainly maintained to a lower degree and quality than the rest of the area. It was still relaxing to walk around and there were plenty of benches (albeit covered in goose droppings).

Great place for dogs! Lots of dog owners go here. When we are there we saw many without leashes, which I would only recommend if your dog is well trained. Great paths through trees as you get further up the park. Can see Capitol some from park as well. Kids would love the water. Fairly shallow on most places.

Its a breath of fresh air to find a spot that you can go to and be surrounded by trees and foliage and not concrete and brick buildings where you can hear the soothing sound of a creek as the crystal clear water slowly meanders its way down and over numerous waterfalls into some perfectly designed ponds be it by nature or with a little help from concrete n stone it is quite a nice getaway from the hussle and bussle within minutes, plenty of hiking trails to choose from from walking paths up to full on goat trail paths and everything inbetween, nice little spots throughout where you can spread out a blanket or sleeping bag or just a pair of legs if you and your partner want to get back to nature and do what comes...

This is a very small, super cute, little oasis of a park in Salt Lake City. There was a creek runninf through it that ended as a small lake. There, I saw more than one mamma duck and their ducklings. It would have been a five star experience if not for the rude, inconsiderate and off-putting behavior of both construction workers and passers-by that were making too much unnecessary noise or were overly intrusive. As Jean-Paul Sartre said, "hell are the others." Unfortunately, I don't have photos as I took short videos and don't know how...
