The Mint Facial Bar & Med Spa — Attraction in Salt Lake City

My facial itself was fine, but there were some frustrating dynamics that have me not planning to return. It was my first facial with Mint which was supposed to include a "skin imaging analysis." My facialist told me to lay down and she'd "look at what's going on" after cleansing. I assumed this meant the analysis but after cleansing she just kept doing the facial. She never actually even told me what it was she was seeing as concerns, and mostly just talked to me the whole time about other things (normally that's fine but I'm here to learn about what's going on with my skin). Near the end of the facial she said "we can do your imaging at your second facial" which felt so scammy to me but the facial was almost already over so I wasn't going to push for it then. She then offered at the very end of the facial to do it right then but I would have assumed that the imaging results would have informed the facial I just had so I declined, as it felt like a waste at that point. I only left with product recommendations and no in-depth explanation about why I needed certain products other than just "congestion," which wasn't even mentioned during the facial itself. Unfortunately, I will not be returning so the analysis that was promised in my second session will not be happening. Maybe you just need to remind them to do the analysis? The services I received were an eyebrow wax, facial workout, and the scalp treatment. The staff and girls were very nice & friendly. The brow wax was great, but my issue was the facial. Every other facial I have ever received from a spa/med spa, I’m in a private room, undressed. At this spa, everyone getting a facial is in the same room. You are also dressed, so it was hard to massage my neck & chest, etc. It’s also the same room as the reception, so you can hear customers coming in and out, as well as phone calls from the front desk. Maybe I was unsure what I booked, but for my facial she only put about 2-3 products on my face, and it was only 30 minutes. The scalp treatment was just okay.
