At first we were impressed with the store and the service. We found a beautiful dining set and purchased it. The sales person Lindy was really nice and informative at the time of purchase. She informed us that we would have our order at the end of the month ( end of May) that was about a 3 week wait. We decided that the dining set was worth the wait. We paid everything in full at that time. The end of the month came and no dining table. After a week of waiting I decided to follow up on our order. Lindy informed us that there was a delay. She was going on vacation but that someone will be calling me of Monday to give me an update. No call on Monday no call on Tuesday so I call on Wednesday. The lady informed me that there was no notification on my account and no schedule delivery date but our dining set was in transient and she would proactively schedule a delivery date. Great, we were finally get out dining set.
Nope we got the wrong size of table so we only have 4 chairs. When I contacted Lindy she said the the table was marked wrong and that she will contact the warehouse to get our table, perfect. Next day I get a call that they also had the wrong table but she had a solution. Lindy said she was going to send us chair to use while we wait another month for our table. I agree to the solution. When the delivery guys came they delivered chairs but took the chairs that I had already paid for. I completely understand that we can’t have product that we didn’t paid for but if I had been given the choice or at least given a head up that they were going to take the chairs that I paid for in order to leave the wrong size chair and I agreed the. I wouldn’t have been as upset. But for them to offer a solution and take something that I already paid for without letting me know it not ok. I end up canceling the entire order. Read moreStephen took it upon himself to showed me a leather sectional couch that was on clearance. When I asked why it was on clearance, he specifically stated that it was only because the item was being discontinued. Upon delivery, the delivery men could not get one section attached because of hidden damage from dropping the item. The side proved to be slightly crushed in at the attachment points making it very difficult connect to the adjoining pieice. The delivery men attempted to leave it half attached until I questioned the legs being off the ground and one piece being 1" higher that the adjacent piece. The damage would not have been seen in the store because the item was pushed against a wall and not fully assembled.
I contacted the store and asked to speak to the store manager or regional manager. Mary answered the phone and said she would get one of them to call me back. No one returned my call. After numerous attempts to contact someone, Stephen finally answered the phone. When I confronted him about why the receipt said damaged even though he specifically stated otherwise, he brushed it off saying it was just an administrative way to categorize all clearance items. Stephen has proven to be the quintessential salesman who will do whatever it take to make a sell.
As for Furniture Row, their customer service after the sell is typical of a second class organization. Customer satisfaction and repeat customers are of no concern but rather only the current sell. TV stand that was better than expected, viewing it only from online "pics" and a dinning set with the chairs that are pretty freekin nice. with a savings of over 1300$ unlike another furniture store that was acting like LS and charging me crazy prices. delivery was surprising because it was on a Sunday. delivery reps were courteous and professional. having a large order like this...some damage is to be expected AND was corrected by management 2 items being replaced. purchasing was rather quick because we knew what we wanted so I can't comment on the staff. but wife and I got a good vibe from them when we did speak. cant give 5stars because of the awkward situation when my wife was looking at the dinning tables and the store rep didn't tend to any possible inquiries that my wife might have made almost as if we couldn't afford it...so that snub feeling can't be taken back. if anyone is looking for new furniture...check FR out ask questions. they might have what you're looking for, maybe even at a better price.
