La Orilla Del Rio Ballroom — Attraction in San Antonio

Its unfortunate to have to write this review, but I want others to know of the poor customer service that currently exists when booking this location. I received a returned phone call from Kristen Morgan, which I appreciated as a potential customer, yet that changed within minutes of receiving the call. It was evident from the start she was upset that I was asking questions about the rental/catering fees. She passive aggressively answered my questions as she stated "that information is found on the website." I picked up on her rude demeanor and asked if there was someone else I could speak to. Well that upset her rather quickly and she went on this elaborate tangent about how she was temporarily overseeing the bookings of the ballroom because the person that was in charge had recently left the job in December. She proceeded to say she was doing this temporarily as her job is to over see La Villita and that she did not have to explain to me personnel matters. I agreed with her! I said I wasn't asking you about personnel or company's policies. I only wanted information about renting the ballroom, not her sad story about being stuck with doing extra duties. Its time to get a refresher in customer service skills or find a new job lady!! So don't book until there is a true professional overseeing the booking of the ballroom!...

I recently (Sept 2018) attended a wedding here. I have hosted business conferences here in the past. The facility and accommodations are wonderful. The location is in central downtown near other terrific venues. Parking is at least 2-3 blocks away if not full as a result of other events. I woyld recommend take a ride service...

This place by far is one of the best in San Antonio to hold an event. The location is awesome and the views spectacular. Floor to Ceiling glass windows that look over downtown skyline. and large balcony that over looks riverwalk and downtown. The place holds about 140 people max.
