I am hoping to save some of you from making the same mistake I did. Don’t enroll your kids in the Lifetime Swim Team! There is no one that cares or knows what is happening. There isn’t a consistent Coach that truly cares for the children and their development. I have had numerous concerns about how things are ran and what is not happening and lack of communication and commitment to the children. I enrolled three of my children a few months ago because I wanted them to continue to swim and improve their strokes especially before the summer swim league. I enrolled my 8 year old daughter first and was pleased with Coach Marion and her vigilant coaching style. She was extremely hands on and worked on technique continually. I was super pleased with my daughters desire and eagerness to go and swim. The next month I enrolled my other two: 10 and 6 year old. That’s when I started to see a huge change. Coach Marion seemed distracted and not excited about coaching or being with the kids. She not only would promise the kids a “treat” or a special “activity” the next practice or a specific day, but completely fail to follow through or would get a sub for the practice she promised them these things. We had a Big swim meet the team was getting ready for. Coach Marion had told me to “Commit” on line, but that She would sign them up for the events. We spoke Numerous Times about my kids swimming: All Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke events. I repeatedly asked her to show me what events my kids would be swimming. She Repeatedly told me she had it under control and not to worry. She would send me their events. The day before the meet is when I saw what they would be swimming. They weren’t signed up for ANY breaststroke events! Breaststroke is my kids “Best”/favorite stroke! I was livid! I couldn’t believe she only signed my kids up for a hand full of events! WHY? Why did she lie to me? Of course she wasn’t there that day or even that week. She said she was home sick. However, I needed answers so I texted her. We exchanged texts and decided to meet the next day to discuss. I spoke with her the next day. She didn’t want my kids there listening, but I told her they could hear what we were talking about. She tried to lie and say my sons breaststroke was illegal! Which Was completely bogus! Breaststroke is his BEST stroke! EVERY other coach that has ever seen him swim says he has a Great breaststroke! My son and I were both shocked! He didn’t say anything because he didn’t want to tell an adult they were lying, but after we left the conversation he said he never wants to swim with her coaching again. He felt betrayed and I couldn’t believe a grown Adult was Lying to our faces! I was completely disappointed by her lack of responsibility and commitment to making things right. She acted very cold and unapproachable. She didn’t care that she hadn’t signed them up for all the events they wanted to swim. She truly had no remorse and absolutely no problem lying to us. So when I brought up WHY she hadn’t signed my daughter up for certain events, she honestly NEVER answered. She acted like she didn’t hear me. I put in my 30 day notice and decided to just “ride out” the last month. We could get some good practices in before we left, right??? Honestly, I’ve never seen anything like it before. Not only did Coach Marion call last minute to say she couldn’t make it, but she strolled in late numerous time! In all the years swimming competitively myself I have never seen a coach come in late for a practice. The management has repeatedly proclaimed their disappointment with her and the situation, but are unwilling to make any efforts to replace or improve...

After being here for about five months, I'm ready to downgrade this another star. Apparently, during the warmer months, swim practice is every day, during peak time. This means that if you want to enjoy the outdoor pool, you are SOL. The swim team takes up all of the lanes, every day for over an hour. Want to use the pool during this time and take advantage of the absurd amount of money you pay this gym to do so? Nope. Too bad.
So let's see...a gym fill with bruhs and thots with no etiquette, lazy college kids who dont clean up after themselves, dumb Alpha classes that take up half the weight room, and now a pool you cant use because of swim team. Why am I paying to work out here?
I want to start off by saying that I dont have any issues with the gym itself, or the staff (so far).
The gym itself is huge, nicely equipped and the equipment is in good working order. Lots of variety and a very nice number of squat racks.
The Alpha classes are extremely annoying, as they shut down roughly half the weight room (including half of the squat racks) for a class that's, to be honest, really sort of dumb.
The hot tub could use some serious cleaning. Instead, they tend to dump an eye watering amount of chlorine into it and call it a day.
My real issue with this gym, and the reason for my two star rating is the people that work out here. They are, literally, the worst.
I'm not sure if it's this area, but this gym is infested with a bunch of young college age kids that have no concept of gym etiquette.
Weights are left all over the place. If they are put back, they are thrown about haphazardly. Dumbells put back in the wrong places, left across the weight room, etc. Apparently, unracking your weights after use is also too difficult for these people.
The men here are mostly "bruhs" (sometimes known as "Chads") who are more preoccupied with hogging up equipment while screwing around on their phones, or socializing, rather than working out. And, of course, you have no shortage of show offs which just love to drop the weights as hard as they can for absolutely no reason.
The women here are even worse. I'm not sure what they spend more time doing: working out, or taking snapchat selfies. Seriously, they come here in full makeup and spend more time on their phones snapping pictures than they do working out. Luckily, this group of basics spend 90% of the time working their butts only, rather than doing any real exercise, so they wont get in the way TOO much. I did, however, get a wonderful laugh when I went into one of the side rooms where classes take place to observe two young women practicing their twerking skills to some awful rap music. Apparently, this location has a secondary function as a thot bootcamp. Hilarious.
TLDR Version:
Gym and staff are great, but the people here...
Read moreUpdate: IDK about the other reviewers, but I've been getting A LOT of hate messages from LifeSpa workers at this location since posting this review. These harassments have been very consistent and unprofessional. I think it's actually quite hilarious and laugh EVERY single time but I still report each incident to the proper authorities. Just FYI.
I was an LTF member and was given a chance to try out their spa with my LT Bucks. Me thinks I should've used it on PT instead. I noticed many OSHA violations such as the dark pedi room, not much ventilation, the lack of personal protection equipment (aprons, closed-toe shoes, gloves/masks, and an unused autoclave, brand new actually), everyone's always on their phones, gossiping, eating/drinking where you get your hair washed, music is so loud like I'm inside an Abercrombie & Fitch store for teenagers, etc. Just very unprofessional. I just went ahead and got a massage. It was great! All the massage therapists and facialist in the back are sweethearts and they took care of me like a dream. They work so hard back there folding laundry for everyone. But i'm rating the Spa itself right now and it's a hot mess...
Services are expensive, so ask questions. Lots of questions. Also make sure you know exactly what services you are receiving and how much they are since they are not listed anywhere except on this half printed piece of paper. Prices are not even listed on their brochure or anywhere. And the brochure is what is handed to you when you become a member at the gym (if they have any). When I had to pay, I had no idea how much it was. Then they told me it was $110 and i had $200 in LT Bucks, but in two $100 increment so i had to go through the trouble of somehow breaking up the increments into $20s with a team member, which was hell. After that, i found out I couldn't tip the poor girl with it and i didn't have any cash nor could they break the $20 fake money down any further so i technically lost $10 in change and i owe the girl tip when and if I come back to this place. They just need to come up with a better system or something cause that was a terrible experience in itself...paying.
I guess I should've read the other reviews from Yelp or Google prior to coming in. That's my fault. I should've gotten the hint, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but no, they were right! I don't recommend coming to this location. Maybe I'll check out the other LifeSpa on 281/1604 since I can use my LT Bucks over there. They are MUCH nicer with a newer salon over there on that side...
