Thanks for hosting me this morning. I very much appreciate you paying attentions (eaves dropping) before the casket arrived. After I finished up in the wedding chapel/towne hall meeting in your basement, I wished to pay my respects by sayin' thx. Well, I kneel do the whole criss cross thing..right or left first..I think right..anyway..oops..it's a funeral. lol. This surprise reminds me of Mom, Genie, and my driving across Texas. Read moreMy wife and I were visiting from out of town, and did not want to miss Sunday Mass. We felt so welcomed, it was unbelievable. Prior to the beginning of Mass, we were speaking with one of the ushers about just how beautiful the church is. As we were waiting for Mass to begin, I tell my wife that I felt we are exactly where we are supposed to be right now. No sooner had I said this, when that same usher asked if we would present the gifts. At the end of Mass, the priest asks if there any visitors, and if they could stand. We were greeted with applause. Then he asks if there were any birthdays being celebrated, and it just so happens it was my wife’s birthday. There is a lot of construction/revival being done right now and the doors were locked. We went into the office where two lovely people helped us by unlocking the door and giving us a brief history and some insight into the renovations. They also asked for our prayers - not our money. Really nice.
The windows were spectacular and really challenged my rusty Latin (thanks for Google).
