Our wedding at The Brick was everything we could have asked for and then some! From the start, Lindsay and her team made the planning process smooth and enjoyable. Lindsay’s “homework” documents were an incredible tool to organize all of our ideas and get on the same page about our vision for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. She broke everything down into actionable steps, making sure nothing was overlooked. Her vendor recommendations were spot-on, and her ability to work within our budget constraints while delivering the wedding of our dreams was nothing short of impressive. The Brick is a blank canvas venue, which means you get to customize every detail—but it also means renting everything and outsourcing most of your vendors. Thankfully, they offer a bar service and a package for purchasing your own alcohol, which was a total game-changer for us. We loved working with their team to craft signature cocktails and budget our alcohol purchases. They helped us achieve a fun and generous open bar without breaking the bank. (Pro tip: We ended up overbuying alcohol, but it worked out perfectly as we used the extras as thank-you gifts and shared them with family the next day!) The service on the day of was phenomenal. We were never without a cocktail in hand, and the team made sure we—and all our guests—were comfortable and cared for. They worked seamlessly with our wedding party liaison to ensure everything ran smoothly, so we could just focus on enjoying the day. While The Brick doesn’t have a formal dressing area or green room, we used their office as “command central.” For two men and our FOUR outfit changes, it worked perfectly! For those with gowns, it might feel a bit snug since the space is shared with staff and their storage, but it’s definitely manageable. One feature we didn’t expect to love as much as we did was their camera system, which monitors the inside and outside of the venue. It gave us a fun behind-the-scenes look at everything happening while we were hiding in the office before the ceremony. We loved watching our guests arrive and even got to monitor the dance floor hype level while taking quick breaks from the party! From start to finish, The Brick’s team made us feel supported and valued. Their flexibility, vendor connections, and accommodating nature (including letting us visit the venue multiple times, even unannounced) made planning our wedding a dream. If I had one minor critique, it’s that they let us take the reins a bit more than we expected—sometimes I wished they’d stepped in to pull us back—but it’s clear they just wanted to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. If you’re looking for a venue where you can truly make your wedding your own, with a team that cares about every detail, The Brick is it. Highly recommend!

As a wedding photographer with years of experience and countless weddings under my belt, I've had the pleasure of capturing love stories in some truly remarkable places. Yet, time and again, I find myself drawn back to one venue that stands head and shoulders above the rest: BRICK. Nestled in the heart of San Diego, BRICK is a venue that effortlessly blends modern elegance with timeless charm. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a breathtaking expanse of open space, accented with high ceilings, large windows, and an abundance of natural light. This venue is a blank canvas, allowing each couple to paint their unique vision of their special day. The exposed brick walls and industrial-chic details provide a stunning backdrop that complements any wedding style, from classic and romantic to contemporary and edgy. But what truly sets BRICK apart isn't just its aesthetic appeal. It's the incredible team behind the scenes that makes every event here so memorable. The coordinators and staff at BRICK are some of the kindest, most dedicated professionals I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They approach each wedding with a level of care and enthusiasm that makes you feel like your day is the most important one they've ever hosted. From the initial planning stages to the final farewell, the BRICK team is there every step of the way, ensuring everything runs smoothly. They go above and beyond to accommodate every request, no matter how big or small, and their attention to detail is second to none. It's rare to find a team so genuinely invested in making your wedding day as perfect as you envisioned it. As a photographer, working with BRICK is always a joy. The venue's versatile spaces offer endless opportunities for capturing stunning images, and the cooperative spirit of the staff makes every shoot a seamless experience. Their support and professionalism allow me to focus on what I do best: telling the story of love through my lens. If you're searching for a wedding venue that combines beauty, flexibility, and an exceptional team dedicated to making your day unforgettable, look no further than BRICK. It's more than just a venue; it's the perfect setting for your dream wedding.

Mel and I had been searching for the perfect venue to hold our wedding guest for several months and finally found the Brick by chance! We instantly made contact with the Brick and made an appt. to inquire about all things necessary to host or reception (Married at our church). Right off the bat, everything we needed was all at our fingertips because of the Bricks seamless process to hire all the vendors necessary for a reception. Everything from the food (Mexico City Cuisine) to the extra bathroom trailer (Posh Privy) was super easy to higher and coordinate with leading up to our amazing day. The Staff of the Brick were great to work and communicate with whenever we had any questions. Specifically, the bar team (Jonathon the bar manager and his team Lance and Curran). Without a doubt if you are even remotely thinking about using the Brick as a venue, do it. They are open to any feedback and very professional to work with. Thank you too everyone from The Brick.

I'm reposting my review on Yelp.

From the start, Brick was amazing.

My wife and I had two weddings here. I'll explain how but first, something you might be familiar with.

We went to another venue. They said this:

Rule 1: all guests must leave right at 11:00pm. Rule 2: all guests must park across the street and be shuttled in, if they don't leave by 11:30pm, their cars will likely be towed. Rule 3: you must use our approved catering companies. Rule 4: If you want this arrangement, you'll have to pay $x. Rules 5-100: I forgot.

These were given to us was 5 minutes into meeting the event coordinator. Spitting out rules before we even really saw their venue.

That coordinator also had the attitude of a used-car salesman... pushy, cheesy one-liner-dad-jokes, and assuming that their venue "was the best thing on earth."

Brick was the opposite. We walked in, their staff was super friendly and accommodating from the start. My wife and I felt like we were borrowing a friend's place to host an event; totally unassuming and just wanted to help us achieve what we wanted.

Brick is a very cool large building. The pictures online (instagram and their website) really show how versatile it can be. So we really didn't need to look around inside the actual venue for very long. It was exactly the vibe we wanted. The staff just sealed the deal.

Initially, we thought we could coordinate everything ourselves. We quickly realized we were wrong. It's probably cliche to say, but there are so many little details that arise while picking a venue and executing on an event. Brick's coordination team was absolutely worth it (3x over).

My mother-in-law ended up doing almost all of the decor. She hand spun thousands of feed of macrame, designed the tables, and found awesome little pieces to really make the thing look great. My then fiancée, now wife, just made the final decisions on each piece. It's easy to write that in a paragraph but it was a ton of work for both of them.

Brick's team, mostly Ingrid, helped make these decisions as well. Further, they were the ones that would actually put these together on our big day. They were going to do the actual decorating once we decided on what we needed.

The big day came and ... I had an appendicitis. Not kidding. At 4:30am of my wedding day, I was in the ER wondering if I'll get out in time to make my wedding. I didn't.

Since we were mostly in the dark with the hospital, My wife and I decided to proceed with the day as normal as possible. After all, loved ones were in town and the event was paid for.

There didn't end up being a ceremony but there was a party celebrating our love, friends, and family. Brick, Ingrid and her coordination team were incredibly professional and handled the situation wonderfully. Fortunately, the surgery went so smoothly and I was able to make the end of the event.

Not long after the event ended we heard from Ingrid and Brick. They offered to host another wedding for us and I mean really host our "round 2" wedding.

Round 2 was literally no work for my wife, myself, or our families. All we really had to do was show up. My wife and I decided to be involved as little as possible in the decisions to instead focus on enjoying the day together.

Brick did an amazing job. They provided everything and even found us an amazing photographer, amazing Mexican food (by request), solid DJ, tasty cocktails, and pretty dessert.

They hosted a surprise-decor wedding complete with a lot of personal touches everywhere. We had our wedding and reception right in the venue, had a cocktail hour, dancing, delicious food, and overall just an amazing time.

If I were to do another event of any kind, I'd try and convince Brick to coordinate it for me! Seriously, couldn't be happy enough with their coordination. The venue is awesome too.

Highly recommend and thank you to Brick for making such a wonderful day for...
