Our experience at Kid Ventures has been nothing short of outstanding; all three of our kiddos have participated in their preschool program (the Blue Room for 2-3 year olds, the Red Room for 3-4 year olds, and the Green Room for 4-5 year olds). Their learning environment allows for spontaneous development wherein children learn by exploring. It's the perfect balance of play-based and high-quality curriculum; while it's very much "teacher-supervised," there's also a healthy amount of room for self-directed activities. Their facility is safe, clean, and intentionally well-organized so each little sprout has access to their own materials which fosters independence. Their "pretend play" zone is all time! This space really allows for imaginations to flourish. Our kids' roots have been well-watered by all the educators at KVPA. They're warm and welcoming, approachable and supportive; they truly care for the kids and offer a positive emotional connection. The staff take the time to provide daily updates, share photos, invite families in for events (Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, amongst other holiday celebrations); they really offer a uniquely personalized experience to each kid/family. Their graduation ceremonies are so beautiful and thoughtful; they honor each child as an individual and spotlight their strengths/growth since entering the program. Our kids have developed such a strong appreciation for their teachers, their peers, and for school in general thanks to KV. Our kids have also been well-equipped in terms of their social/academic skills as a result of their program. We adore you KV! Thanks...
Read moreOur 8-year old has his first camp experience at Kid Ventures last week and LOVED IT! He was nervous, but he loved it from day one and even asked to stay longer on a few days. They had fun sensory, art, and indoor & outdoor play experiences. Lunch was included in the price for camp, too. Cascade is so incredibly friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. She always has a smile on her face and greets everyone warmly and genuinely. She makes everyone feel welcome and is incredibly attentive with the children. She is very passionate about early childhood education and supports--and understands--play-based learning. She also has her Master's in Early Childhood Education, so we had several fun discussions. She attends many early childhood trainings and conferences, as well. As a trainer and early childhood teacher myself, I was impressed! The other staff were friendly, too. I just didn't have much interaction with them because Cascade seemed to be everywhere and on top of it all. The entire facility encourages children's natural instincts to explore, discover, talk, problem-solve, and simply be children. You can drop in for play, sign them up for an entire week of camp, or enroll them in their preschool program. If you live in or are visiting San Diego, I highly recommend you visit Kid Ventures! We will...

Please avoid this place if you have a sensitive child - They have zero tolerance for kids who cry! I really loved this place when I took the tour for my son who is turning 3 as a preschool option but they have this process where they do a one-hour trial which I don't mind at all. But after sending my kid for one hour the feedback I got was "He was fine and he answered all questions to the teachers but also he cried and was upset so please try again after a couple months".
I was in shock as I was ready to join this school. I had clearly mentioned during our tour that my son has been going to daycare since he was 9 months old and this is a transition for him so he will be upset and honestly I am not sure if in one hour you can make a decision that the child is not fit for the school and that he is a cry baby. I don't expect my child to go in happily jumping because again it is a "Transition" for him and I would expect the school to help him with the same instead of Judging him in ONE HOUR. I am 200% sure that he would have been fine given some time which is anything more than One Hour!!
Overall I do not like their approach and shows how impatient they are...
