Wicked Maine Lobster — Restaurant in San Diego

I'm super bummed about this place. I thought the first time wasn't that great because they were newer. The portions advertised were more than double what was prepared and the prices are not cheap. After seeing a bunch of posts on instagram I thought maybe they have improved their portions so I tried them again. The price is almost $10 more than before. 29.99 for a roll with fries and a drink compared to 20.99 back then. The portion of lobster is still way less than shown!! I even mentioned it before purchasing and they said the portions are much better now and yet with the higher price, the portion was even smaller than before. They picture these overflowing juicy lobster on their instagram and what I got was having to open the bun to see the lobster and it was cold and dry. I paid $110 for 3 rolls meals and one clam chowder that was all potato and maybe 1 clam in it. They charge $2.50 extra for a garlic bread bowl and I happily paid thinking the bread would be different and all it was was a little garlic flavored oil dropped on the top of the bread bowl. It's utterly disappointing to see a restaurant spend so much time making their social media look one way but not actually make the food they give their customers any effort, especially at such a premium price! Either match your food to what you show and advertise or advertise what you actually give out. This is such a lie and a waste of my time and money sadly. Not worth it at all. I have seen this place often on instagram and had them on my list for places to try, so I was very excited when I had a work event at liberty station and stubbled upon the location. Who ever the man was that was working today Dec 5th around 11:30-12:30pm was very rude. We are new to the area and wanted to get word out and partner with local businesses, see if they had any of their info/ business cards we could give out to our residents that want recommendations for what’s good in the area. I actually intended on ordering after and bringing my sister on the weekend but after my experience I would never spend my money here. There was no line and 2 people had already ordered., I greeted him and he told me to wait, when he finally acknowledged me I didn’t get a sentence out before he cut me off and told me “Get to the point, I have orders” Mind you there was no line and he only bagged one order, the rest of the counter areas were empty. I didn’t even speak to him for 30 seconds ( the amount of time he had me wait was actually longer than the amount of time I spoke with him) and the short interaction left me with a bad first impression, although I was there for work I actually planned on ordering but if that is how they treat potential customers it’s not worth my hard earned money. The 3-stars rating is based on my disappointment in the serving size in comparison to the price paid .... as well as a disappointment in overall taste of my lobster mac and cheese. My expectations were clearly much higher, which is no fault of the place .... I just expected a little more (both in serving and taste). I ordered the lobster mac & cheese and the only real positive I can give for it was that the lobster meat was nice. Unfortunate part about the dish was that once I finished the lobster meat (which didn't take me long), that was it! The mac and cheese was lacking any real flavor (again, my expectations were likely high) and I half-heartily ate some of it just thinking I could have made a better mac and cheese at home. Lobster roll was good, but as a point of reference, it looked as if the bun was just a hot dog bun inverted and grilled ... so that should give you an idea of how small the roll is. A bit more flavorful than the mac and cheese, but again -- just disappointed it was much smaller than I would have liked. Would I go back -- perhaps, but I definitely wouldn't count on it being lunch on a day I'm really hungry. Service was nice and pleasant, but again - rating is based on my food's volume and...
