GUNNZO Japanese Toys and Gifts — Attraction in San Diego

I come from a different state and was excited to shop around for some sonny angels. This store was the only one that was not too overpriced. I walked in with my bf and looked at some plushy keychains first because we wanted to match. Then we made our way to the register and saw the sonny angels they had. We each grabbed one and were shaking them, let me note that we were not even shaking them aggressively. The guy at the register said something along the lines of ‘ Please don’t shake them so hard, I got in trouble for letting someone shake it too hard you could hear everything in the box.’ So we we apologized even though we weren’t even shaking them hard. I already felt his bad vibes but kept picking out which ones I wanted to get. Then he proceeds to say ‘ Um please don’t take too long either.’ That whole interaction from us getting to the register was less than a minute and no one was behind us. If you like Gundam, don't miss out on the opportunity to visit this place. We have visited several hobby stores near San Diego for gundam models (Gunpla). Hands down, Gunnzo has the largest variety of Gunpla kits. Even the gundam base pop up shop at Mercari didn't have as good of a selection. There were several MG kits to choose from and an insane amount of HG and RG kits. They have built HG and MG models displayed, and can be used to get an idea of what the size differences are. From what i can tell, prices of the Master Grade kits were within 10 dollars (give or take) of what i could find online, but it works out because there is no shipping fee, you get your kit on the spot, and you help out your local business. Gotta say it was a great experience. I drove an hour to get here for 2 HG kits. When I walked in I was immediately hit with a wave of excitement knowing I had found a place where people who share my enthusiasm for the craft definitely congregate. They have stock on kits that I can't find anywhere locally and the prices are great.

Chill friendly staff. The one gent, who was working at the time, came right over to help me with my questions, I believe his name was Parker. You could tell he cared about the people who came into the store
