This is my favorite boba shop in San Diego. The flavor of the teas and juices is excellent. The brown sugar boba is fantastic and their boba has the perfect texture or “Q”. I took my friend here and he said after trying this boba other places feel like you’re chewing on plastic balls. For me perfect boba is soft yet has the perfect amount of slight spring and chewiness, like a perfectly done al denté pasta. At this place the boba texture and flavor is always on point. Now onto the teas. The teas here are high quality and freshly brewed, they are not made from cheap powdered mixes. I am a fan of the TGY tea Tie Guan Yuan, the roasted oolong, the classic milk tea and the Thai style tea. Love the flavor and that you can customize sweetness here. The coffee boba is also excellent. Finally, the fresh fruits and juices. I am a huge fan of the kumquat citrus fruit which is native to Southeast Asia, from my travels to Vietnam and Taiwan. I have tried drinks made with this fruit at other boba shops in San Diego and they were absolutely terrible - they tasted like they were made from some sort of concentrate or artificial flavor that did not taste like the real fruit at all. I asked the owner of Me Me Tea and Desserts how they make their citrus kumquat green tea and where the kumquat in the drink comes from, and she explained that they order the kumquat fruit as a frozen paste from Taiwan. I will tell you, this drink is the real deal and absolutely delicious. I recommend it ordered 30% sweet and add aloe chunks or lychee. Everything on the menu here is so high quality and I am very pleased to have found a boba shop here in San Diego that is as good as the ones I frequented during my travels through Taiwan. The staff is also super nice and everything is run efficiently

So glad to have found this new recently opened boba place! We tried their fruit teas: the kiwi fruit tea with aiyu jelly and the strawberry berry 2.0 with boba. They are both very refreshing and made with real fruits! It is comparable to dayung's fruit tea. We got regular sweetness for both drinks and it was perfect. It wasn't too sweet since they use real fruits and kiwi and strawberries were more on the sour side. The strawberry drink has a lot of strawberry seeds so can definitely tell it's made from fresh fruits. The kiwi fruit tea was pretty unique and you can taste more of the tea taste than the strawberry drink. There wasn't too much aiyu jelly but the bits of kiwis made up for it. The shop is located next to Marshall and in the Target/ Ranch 99 plaza making it convenient to grab a drink after going grocery shopping. Will definitely be coming back to try the different drinks!

I went here for the 1st time today, and I could not have been more pleased! Both my delicious tea and the service I received were outstanding! I got a regular matcha milk tea with almond milk and red bean topping. I have to say, matcha green tea is my absolute favorite, and I am very particular about it. I am often disappointed at other tea shops, because many use a pre-mixed powder, which isn't very good and contains unwanted additives. Not so at Me Me! They use actual, real matcha tea, and I tasted the difference immediately. It was hands-down the BEST matcha drink I've ever had at a teashop! I don't like my drinks very sweet, so I got it with 30% sugar, and also light ice. It was perfect for me, but if you like more sweetness, definitely get it sweeter. Another thing to mention is how welcoming, friendly, and helpful the employees were (almost unheard of nowadays!). The only drawback to this lovely tea shop is that there's no seating inside. I would love to be able to sit back and read a book for a while while drinking my tea in such pleasant surroundings! I hope maybe they will find another bigger storefront to move to in Clairemont someday. But even at their present location, I will be a regular customer at Me...

I brought my three girls here to treat them for boba. Because we are lactose intolerant I substitute all our bobas with oat milk. When I paid I thought the price was pretty steep. We got five items and I paid almost $40! We got 1 caramel brulee milk tea, 1 lychee matcha fresh milk tea, 1 strawberry matcha fresh milk tea, 1 fresh orange Thai tea and one ube taro sago. The orange Thai tea is not a good combo🤢. The matcha drinks were way too sweet even though we chose regular sweetness. And the caramel brulee couldn't even taste the caramel. For the price none of our teas were good. I wanted to complain but I felt bad since all the drinks were already made so we ended up drinking them. The sago was very runny and not flavorful at all. They had a very small corner with a table and had no trash cans to throw away any of our bobas when we were done. Just got home and looked at my receipt. I'm So annoyed to see that they charged us $1 per substitute for oat milk and $0.75 to add boba to each drink without letting me know! No wonder it was more expensive than the first saw when I was looking at the price. I basically paid $8 per freaking boba! I will never go back to this...
