Nail's Paradise and Spa - Nail Salon San Diego, CA — Attraction in San Diego

I hate to write this review but I feel I have to. I came for a mani/pedi and everything was great until the end of my service. I was getting my toe nails painted when a woman sat next to me and I was shocked see one of her toe nails had a fungal infection. This is always a concern of mine, and I understand this is a risk, but this seems irresponsible. This person should be treated in a medical office and not at a nail salon. I unfortunately will not be coming back.

EDIT 6/10/2025 - I am not sure why I was not notified when the business responded to my comment, but their response is a lie. They somehow figured out I was the person who posted the review, they IMMEDIATELY reached out and asked me to remove my review because they "were not treating the person" simply giving them a mani/pedi. I refused and asked them to not contact me again. I unfortunately deleted the text so I cannot provide proof. In their text they admitted 1) the client had a fungal infection, and 2) they did not see a problem with it because they were not "treating" her, i.e. giving her medical treatment. For a business to do this is not only wrong but irresponsible. You put other customers at risk of contracting a fungal infection. I...

First of all I wanna start by saying that I’m extremely picky when it comes to my nail shape. I usually go for an almond shape, & sometimes they can make it or too pointy or too wide.

I recently moved to La Mesa, visited different nail salons until I found Tanya. I cannot recommend her enough, she’s the best! She doesn’t pressure you and takes her time to make sure everything is to your liking. She’ll ask you throughout the appointment if everything is okay or if there’s something you wanna change. She’s also amazing at color matching. If you show her a picture of the nail color you want, she won’t have you guess for you to pick the color closest to your picture. She will do the matching for you until it’s almost as identical as the picture. She likes to do appointments for the same reason.

Also, in other nail salons, even when I have an appointment sometimes they still make me wait a bit of time. Not here. They respect my appointment time every time.

She recently started offering 10% off for new customers on 1st visit so make sure you mention that.

This place is under new ownership and they have great customer service. They give you exactly what you ask for. They make great suggestions and I like that I can come here and relax while getting my nails done. They’re so gentle, the main manicurist was painting my nails and I could not feel it, that’s how gentle she is. I was falling asleep while they both worked on me at the same time and usually I’m so uncomfortable while getting both simultaneously. Not the case here, they’re so great. I’ve come to this location for 3 years since before this new ownership and the massage chairs are brand new. They brought in new colors and really want everyone to be comfortable.
