Rooms were nice and comfortable but the food here is so pricey! $19 for 9 wings is crazy. Nothing besides the mall is close by. If you are here for a conference (which seems to be their bread & butter) the catered food is OK--nothing special. Arlo is delicious and has good staff but spendy. The conference rooms are hit or miss--some are clean and tidy--others a bit of a mess. The house facilities crew is sadly very lackluster as there were multiple days where broken glass was left on the floor and not cleaned up even with staff walking around it. Very difficult to get facilities crew to adjust seating & tables and extremely long lines at the buffets.
Also a note to people working events here; the conference center turns OFF the A/C whenever the general public is not scheduled to be in a room--this means that load-ins and strikes are hot sweaty affairs in hot California weather. They clearly don't think highly of the folks coming here to work.

Read moreOur company rented the convention center for the annual holiday luncheon. They had nowhere near adequate parking capacity for us, and traffic was backed up from the I-8 freeway just to reach their parking structure, which quickly filled to capacity and was unable to handle the remaining attendees.
Once we were inside the facility, it was clearly not what we'd been accustomed to in past years. The noticeable low points that stood out: the overall outdated state of the entire facility, the women's bathroom was far too small so there was another long wait to get in, and 2 of the 3 sinks were broken resulting in yet another long line to wash up, the sound system was of very poor quality throughout the event, and the food was less than impressive. Other low points were not facility-related.
If, in the future, my employer chooses to have another event at this facility, I will...
Read moreLovely set up for a convention including plenty of room for booths/gift show. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. Really good hot plates lunch starting; with fresh sourdough rolls with perfectly circular butterballs. Iced tea with lemons and or ice cold water. The salad was served wrapped in a slice of cucumber with freshly made honey/fresh herb vinaigrette and the main course... Buttery delicate pot roast with mashed potatoes, local and or organic seasonal veggies that were cooked to perfection. Veggies included roasted beets parsnips pearl onions and crispy asparagus. Top that off with Berry sorbet and a cup of fresh...
