Wow they are really triggered! âHey I saw your review on Google Don't you have anything better to do than complain about other people's work? What is your business? Maybe I could leave a review for you soon?â Answer: broski: no I donât have anything better to do. I recommend listening to customer and community feedback. I wrote an honest review and got a defensive answer. Talk to the vendors and business people and Bali hai and the bands for objectivity. These reviews are paid for or are transparently written by buddies , partners etc. This started as a backyard party by a young punker zine publisher who wrote to never pay much for a Hawaiian aloha shirt . In the past before it moved from the crown plaza it was a fun affordable festival. Now prices have doubled for the ticket, rooms, food, drinks. Nothing is included in the ticket. Itâs all extra add ons. The regular tickets are limited so people are coax-erced into buying the mega super vip ticket that comes with a blase mug but no seminar entries. The owners heavily monetize every single aspect. This is in contrast to other events that include everything in one ticket. All the mediocre entertainment is the same every year. I think the Moai heads were smirking because they didnât understand where the creature, the Gill Man, became so a part of Tiki? Need to drop the tacos and bring in some Pu Pu. The artist Shag strolling the floor and posing with the faithful for pics, how cool! There is a Neil Diamond tribute band called âSuper Diamond.â We need a Don Ho tribute band next year but we need to be careful with the name. Just keep drinking until ârumâ...
Read moreFive stars for the Tiki Oasis marketplace! This was our second time and wow, so many more vendors buzzing with tropical energy this year. The vibe is pure tiki paradiseâthink bamboo, tiki torches, and bright, playful stalls that feel like a mini luau around every corner. Parking was a breeze: even with the hotel crowd, a quick walk from Fashion Valley Mall had me stepping into an influenced wonderland in no time. Vendors were fantasticâfriendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their crafts. There were so many unique treasures to discover, from handmade trinkets to delicious bites that captured the island spirit.
I honestly canât wait to go back. This marketplace is a tiki dream and the whole experience is just a good time from...
