Wow... Very pleased with this place. Our server Ripken was great. Very attentive, helpful, and energetic. The food was full of flavor. Sometimes when we go for ramen the base flavor of the broth taste the same with very little difference. The broth here has distinct flavors. We got the Classic ramen with pork. The broth was a nice creamy, flavorful tonkotsu broth with black garlic oil, bean sprouts, spinach, green onion, nori, and a soft boiled egg. We added corn and garlic to it as well. The pork was very tender and pretty large piece. We also got the garlic truffle with pork. This was also full of flavor and the noodles in this dish was perfect. A little thicker noodles then the classic. The noodle had a little chewier texture, which I really liked. The egg was perfect medium cooked. We also got gyoza. You get a choice of fried or steam. We chose fried. The filling was also full of flavor. All our food came out really fast and we enjoyed the atmosphere too. It was nice, fun, and inviting. We will be going back.

I never leave a review unless the place is either extremely terrible or amazing sadly this falls in the former. The greeting lady was rude from the start "yeah, what do you want?" like why else did I walk in here other than to eat. I ordered my ramen which was supposed to be spicy and got in literally 5 minutes (shocked because every ramen place I've been to takes at least 20 minutes) the ramen was absolutely terrible. They give you mostly broth and the noodles seemed like it came from a cup of noodles the same hard plastic texture and taste the chicken was just huge pieces of chicken breasts from Costco uncut and flavorless the ramen had 0 spice to it. I only had 3 bites before deciding to pay and walk out. Please please avoid this place if you want ramen I suggest you go to Nishiki Ramen in Kearny or Hillcrest because this was is absolutely awful.

Had the opportunity to try out the Silverlake ramen in LA and I can say that the Fashion Valley Silverlake is just as good. Went on Tuesday night and was seated right away. Ordered the Garlic Truffle Ramen w/ pork. Visually it looks amazing. Pork Broth was creamy and full of flavor with a subtle hint of truffle. Pork was thick, fatty and tender which I loved. Thought the kale and mushrooms were an okay addition... I'd rate this ramen the same with or without em. The marinated egg was also pretty good! The thick cut noodles really did a good job absorbing the flavorful broth as well. San Diego is blessed with quite a few great local ramen spots and this definitely makes it near the top. Plan to visit again and hopefully they keep it consistent in quality! Broth 5/5 Noodles 5/5 Toppings 5/5 Egg 4.5/5

The food was good, but the service was the worst I've ever received. Next time I'd rather just go hungry than deal with the rude, inattentive, and slow server my family and I had the misfortune of being served by. First, we sat for over 15 minutes just for our server to serve the people sat next to us, who's only been waiting only for a few minutes before us. Once he finally decided to approach us, my family and I all greeted him politely, his only response was "Ready?". This was only the start of his rude behavior. He never asked for our drink order, instead we had to ask him to take it. As I write this, I'm wondering if he was extremely rude or just doesn't know how to do his job. Was he drunk or high? Once we finished eating, we sat for almost 30 minutes, waiting for our check. I finally decided to wave him down and ask for it myself after our server argued with other guests at the door, also over how long they'd waited for their check. The other guest had been waiting for so long he said "We need to leave. What are we supposed to do, walk out?". While the food was good, the service was so awful and our server was so rude that I would never return or recommend this place to anyone. It's a shame because the ramen was good! I can stand those types of servers. He took forever to approach us after serving customers who had barely just arrived first, had to be asked to take our drink order, and leaves customers waiting for check out so long that we weren't the only people upset. Do better! Awful,...

The only reason it has 2 stars is because the staff were nice and I liked the interior of the restaurant. However, I go to restaurants for 1 reason: the food. This is easily the worst ramen I’ve ever had and my friend would probably agree. I can usually force myself to finish bad food if I’ve paid a decent amount for it, but I left this restaurant with well over the half the bowl left on the table. The flavor was missing, the broth was bland and if anything, had a bad taste to it and the rest of the bowl was as flavorful as a cardboard box. Tofu, when done properly is an amazing addition to a ramen dish. The tofu here was very obviously taken out of the pack, cut up into big cubes and just thrown in the bowl. It’s completely raw. My friend had a pork dish and complained about a complete lack of flavor in it. Also worth noting that he didn’t finish the bowl either, wish is shocking because I’ve never seen that man leave food on a plate before. This just feels like a trendy restaurant to cash in on the ramen industry that is very popular with this generation. It has no soul, it might as well be top ramen served in a fancy bowl with some cheap chopsticks. It’s a bit of a drive, but if you want genuinely great ramen, visit Ajisen Ramen. It’s 10,000 times better than this place and it’s cheaper. Definitely will not be going back to this place and wouldn’t recommend...

Came here tonight since it was rainy and cold. I havent eaten all day and had a bad morning health wise so I thought it would be nice to treat myself to ramen. Ive been here before and liked it and never had an issue.

But tonight was awful. I never had a service that made me cry. I ordered my food and I forgot to ask without garlic oil (my mistake my head was still all over the place from earlier) and when the woman server came to drop it off I told her "im sorry I forgot to ask for no black garlic oil, can you ask if I can get one without?" And she gave me the most annoyed angry look and I felt so bad. It took 40 minutes to get my new bowl of ramen and when she gave it to me I tried to apologize for the mishap and she angrily dropped it on the table and rolled her eyes at me and left. I started bawling my eyes because I felt so bad and she made me feel like shit. A girl from another table saw me crying and comforted me and said she too was experiencing bad service from her as well and she went to talk to another server about her because the manager wasnt on duty.

Unfortunately they were short staffed tonight and im super patient and tip big for good service and also if I miscommunication something. But just the way she made me feel to where I cried, i dont feel comfortable coming here again. (It was the hispanic girl who was serving between 5:30pm -...
