I had such a wonderful experience at Venchi, and it’s all thanks to Gianna, who went above and beyond to make my visit both safe and special. My family and I have a range of allergies and disabilities that often make finding treats a challenge, but Gianna approached everything with such kindness, patience, and care that I left feeling not only accommodated, but genuinely seen and valued.

She took the time to walk me through every option in detail explaining ingredients, packaging, and presentation making sure I understood exactly what would be safer and enjoyable for everyone. I was deeply appreciative of how intentional she was about helping me experience the best Venchi has to offer without sacrificing safety or comfort. Her thoughtfulness turned what could’ve been a stressful shopping trip into a joyful and memorable one.

The store itself was stunning perfectly organized, clean, and beautifully arranged. Every display felt curated and inviting, like getting lost in a chocolate lover’s dream. It had this magical, luxurious atmosphere that reminded me of what I always imagined a Willy Wonka tour would feel like but elevated, refined, and real. The attention to detail, from the lighting to the layout, made it clear that this isn’t just a shop it’s an experience.

Gianna’s knowledge, compassion and kindness left such a lasting impression on me. If you’re visiting Venchi, I truly hope you get the chance to be helped by her. She represents the very best of customer service thoughtful, knowledgeable, and...

Times past when I’ve walked by this establishment at UTC, I’ve tended to see pretty long lines and so I mentally noted it as a place to try out eventuallly—today was that day (and it wasn’t super busy, there was not the usual line (the time was 4:40ish))! Folks working behind the counter were welcoming; Venus in particular was especially kind and also knowledgeable, suggesting different gelato combinations that would pair well. One is able to sample various flavors, which is something I really appreciate being able to do as a customer: being able to try the product before committing to a flavor, or two, or three. I ended up feeling conflicted when having to make a selection because I found all the flavors I tasted to be quite delicious! šŸ˜†

I had the pistachio and mango; I’m not someone who would usually opt for pistachio , but its flavor was delicious. If I remember correctly, Venus mentioned that this is a flavor that they are well known for. The mango flavor tasted very much like the real deal, not artificial whatsoever.

In general, gelato tends to be on the pricier side in comparison to ice cream or yogurt, but I always find it to be worth the price for its quality and taste. I usually get my fix of gelato in Little Italy, but it looks like I won’t have to venture too far south for it!

Thank you Venus for the role you played in making my first visit to Venchi a pleasant one, I’ll have to...

I was in La Jolla with family last weekend and randomly strolled into Venchi, not knowing until now it opened just 3 days prior! (What?!) The gelato line was long so I opted to check out the chocolates. Long story short, I was able to sample any of the chocolates I wanted, and instantly fell in love with the quality. I tried the gianduia and pistachio, and bought a lot more of the various flavors. The chocolate is smooth and silky and no trace of bitterness, which is why I'm not usually a dark chocolate fanatic. But I'm in love with Venchi.

Daniela who works in the shop is extremely knowledgeable. If you want to put together a custom box, like what I did as a gift for my dad, ask for her. She knows every flavor and will help you make the best gift. I was literally like a kid in a candy shop. All of the other employees were equally sweet and very helpful, like they really care about your experience. One guy who gave me a sample waited with open eyes about my reaction to the flavor lol! One of the best shopping experiences in recent memory.

If you go here, you can't worry about the price. It's just the times we're in now. It really is a treat, try some samples, and hopefully you'll excuse yourself for indulging in this little pleasure. It's worth it! (Now crossing fingers you open a...

My friend and I each ordered a 3-scoop gelato. We specifically asked for Stracciatella, but the staff member named Thomas (Asian male) told us it was completely out and that it would not be restocked at all tonight. We even asked again to confirm — we were happy to wait — but he very firmly and confidently said, ā€œNo, there will be no more tonight.ā€ Because of this, we had to choose other flavors we didn’t really want, and ended up repeating flavors just to fill the three scoops. We sat inside the store for about 15 minutes to enjoy our gelato. When we got up to leave and walked past the counter, we saw Stracciatella had been restocked — and not just recently. The tray was already partly served, meaning it had been available for a while — likely shortly after we placed our order. This was incredibly frustrating. If Thomas had just told us the truth or made the small effort to check, we could have waited and enjoyed the flavor we came for. Instead, we were misled, and it really ruined the experience. We’ve been to other Venchi locations and always enjoyed great service. But this visit left us feeling ignored, dismissed, and misled. For a premium brand like Venchi, this kind of customer treatment is really unacceptable.

Went in for a quick ice cream after my meal! The options are great and quite tasty. Ice-cream - I got their hazelnut with chocolate as half and half. Got their hazelnut spread coated in the cup too! They also have me a sample of hot chocolate which was recently launched. Chocolates: Valentine’s Day was around the corner so I thought I’d pick up few for my partner and the chocolates were great but the team completely ignored me! No one helped me understand the flavours and differences between them. I was struggling and asked two different staff members and none of them helped and saw me and ignored me. Then finally there was a guy who helped me picked and I got my box done. I paid $50 and above for the chocolates and the least they can do is help! Definitely not worth getting chocolates if this is how they treat people! Service: Terrible in my opinion. No one helped for a good ten mins and then too I had to keep asking them to help when the third guy did! He was sweet but others, gosh! Ambience: Great and fun! Would’ve love a table or two to sit or smaller tables to stand but it’s more like to go place.
