Love Hi Tops! This is my first time going, and the experience was awesome! Bartender was so friendly, the drinks were well mixed and delicious, the food was incredible. Great menu, great portions, and very high quality. I ordered a simple breakfast burrito, my partner got a chicken sandwich. For an appetizer, we decided to split a half order of nachos, which came out on a platter and could have fed two people by itself. And that was only a HALF order! We were so full, we had to go back up to our hotel and take a nap. I absolutely cannot recommend this place more! Anytime I'm in the Castro in the future, I will be stopping by.

Went there for Argentina v Netherlands World Cup 2022. Tim , pictured, was the hardworking bartender. At the 11:00am game, the beers were $7. The fries, $6, were HOT and fresh, too. There are about 20 screens with the game so you could get in the action from any seat. At the game’s peak, every seat was filled and many were standing. It was , however, not crowded. Tim said for a big game, the place would be packed with standing room. Service was great and a second bartender helped. The seemed to mix a lot of complicated drinks! Crowd was friendly. All around great deal and time. Exciting game helped!

Hi Tops is a fantastic neighborhood-friendly sports bar that I absolutely love. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for any occasion. The staff consistently impresses with their friendly smiles and excellent service. If you visit, I highly recommend trying the wings and garlic fries—they're simply outstanding.

Hi-tops is a great space, if a bit crowded at times. But that’s kind of the point for this Castro sports bar, which is primarily just that, a bar. There’s a pretty big and well-curated menu of drink recommendations and specials worked out like a leaderboard in chalk just behind the bar. If you get hungry, the back of the bar had a kitchen and some standing tables serving an interesting and tasty selection of appetizer-ish food items until 10PM. I must say I was quite surprised by the quality of the food here: the nachos are really well done and quite amazing with pull-pork. Try a half-order, which is still quite a good portion, and you won’t leave feeling too hungry or guilty about it. The AMERICAN burger is really outstanding, with char-grilled beef that’s done perfectly. There are in fact few places near the Castro where you might find such good fast-food, in addition to whetting your whistle...

This place was high on my list of wings places to try. To cut to the chase, I haven't yet found my wings place, but this will get it done in a pinch.

The wings were ok - they were a good size, but they weren't as crispy as they could be. The sauce was mostly good in flavor, it could have been a bit more buttery, but it was decently thick on the wings and actually stuck to the wings instead of pooling off into a puddle beneath them. The extra sauce on the side was missing some of the fattiness that improved the sauce once it was on the wings, but the extra sauce was a generous portion, as was the extra blue cheese. The blue cheese was thick and creamy, everything it should be. The carrots and celery were a bit stingy, and next time I'll ask for extra.

Overall, better than other wings places I've been, but the...

I came here with friends this afternoon to grab some beers on the recommendation that this is a fun spot and that their nachos are especially good. However, this afternoon I went in with some friends. We ordered and received our food, and then I went to order my myself and my friends drinks. A bouncer then came up and told me to leave. Upon getting outside, the bouncer told me I was kicked out earlier today and asked not to come back. I tried explaining that there is some mistake, and asked to speak to a manager. I was told a manager would not speak to me because they already spoke to me when they threw me out earlier. I can perhaps understand mistakenly asking a person to leave, but to not even allow reason to prevail when the wrong person is told they have been previously removed from an establishment...
