I uploaded photos and clearly wrote in notes what I wanted removed, but during the order I must have missed the selection to officially itemize what was there. I selected junk removal, the largest truck option they had, and very clearly listed in my notes everything that I wanted picked up (an empty pickup bed could take it because that's what I ended up paying someone else $100 to do), but apparently selected 1 cardboard box. The job was reviewed, approved, and also reviewed and accepted by a "warrior" and nobody thought it was weird that I was describing a truck load of junk but only wanted one box removed. Like, bragging about how much trash I had or something lol
anyway, the warrior gets to my house and this is the first time I realize my mistake, and he starts talking down on me, "How much did you honestly think this would cost? Do you realize how much dump fees are? I'm going to dump these boxes into the street." So I tell him not to touch anything, I will contact the company. He hangs up on me. I text him not to touch anything. He ignores me and uploads a picture of him taking one box.
I finally get in contact with the company and they don't even bat an eye when I tell them he tried to ask for 10x what the site quoted, dump trash into the street, and blatantly ignored me and hung up on me. Like, literally said "you paid for one box" end of email. I owned up that during the booking I must have missed that, but how, after reading the notes and seeing the photos did it not become an issue until the dude was on my doorstep trying to swindle me out of hundreds of dollars? But I guess that's just how they operate. They are ok with their "warriors" doing this, and won't spend more than 10 seconds replying to you. I guess I'm just the guy that paid $75 to get one box removed from my driveway, and $100 to someone else to...
Read moreAVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Spend more money on a real service! This one is real rubbish.
They are cheap, and there's a good reason. As a "platform" (gig) company, they "connect" you with local rubbish "providers". By doing this, they claim no responsibility to cover any damage to your property and can avoid their workers compensation responsibilities in case the "warriors" (labor) are injured. Basically they leave the property owner and the gig-workers to sue each other in case of property damage or injury. They can also avoid training their labor, paying benefits, and paying for capital like trucks, moving equipment, and trailers.
What a great business model! No risk and all profit!
The guys who showed up at my house 9 hours after originally scheduled (after the first appointment was canceled last minute) had their own truck and flat-bed trailer. One of them had flip flops on. Flip flops, to move things. In this case a 40-inch tall piano. No moving straps, just a small dolly. The side door ended-up being damaged so badly that it and the door knob needed to be replaced at a cost of $210.
The above statement will inform you that Trash Warriors expects me to force the gig-laborers to pay for this damage. How charming. Tell some side-hustle guys that they owe me $210, and they know where my house is and that it's for sale? Sounds really wise!
I hope this business fails because it is negligent and unethical. A Trash-Trash company for sure hiding...
Read moreI hired this company to haul away a fairly heavy (275 lb. approx.) commercial copier, located on the second floor of my home. I gave exact details, weight, size and even included a picture of the unit with my daughter (for reference). The guy showed up on the correct day, at the right time, but he showed up by himself and without a dolly! I had just had a hip replacement 4 weeks prior, so I was in no shape to help (but I did). I helped him get the copier down the stairs, I helped him get it out the door, I helped him load it into his truck (where I also cut my finger wide open). Not to mention, he came in my house with dogsh*t on the bottom of his shoes, so I had to track down everywhere he walked and clean it.
The guy was nice, but he came ill-prepared for the job. I have asked for a 50% refund but now they have stopped responding. Hell, I didn't even ask for 100% because he did take the copier away. I only asked for 50%. They can't even do that right!
BEWARE of this company and if a single dude shows up to do a multiple man job, I would send him packing before he touches a thing.
I'm pretty sure this company is being operated from overseas, as well. They may have a San Francisco, CA corporate address but they keep odd hours and no one EVER picks up the phone (not even sure it's dialing them, to be honest). They don't respond to their "support" email either. I should have done my homework...Hopefully, I can save...
