Jenny's Hair Salon — Attraction in San Francisco

I was recommended this place by word of mouth for affordable haircuts within SF (which is also accessible by public transit since I cannot drive). I did make an appointment by phone. It didn't seem too busy when I arrived, but it's probably still better to reserve by phone to guarantee availability. I'm glad that it still is affordable too, at $25 even for a haircut in an uncommon style I wanted to try out ("bob with side tails" that is more of an anime hairstyle). I did not have any products used, just a trim, so that could be why it was $25, so it might be more if you want more complexity or product styling. Linda worked on my hair. I noticed before she came out to greet me, she was very considerate in putting on a mask before coming out of the back room (I was also wearing one). She was very friendly, gentle, and considerate, but also efficient in washing and cutting my hair. She was able to give the exact hairstyle I wanted, using just one image from my phone. Linda is great! Fast, professional and skilled haircut and quick straightening (the latter of which I didn’t request but liked the result of). Comfy, affordable, quiet experience which was relaxing.

$35 plus tip for a woman’s shoulder length straight hair haircut but no wash

They prefer cash too venmo (you have to pay the Venmo transaction fee) and Zelle so keep that in mind. I used Zelle which was free but a hassle/stressful ending to figure out (because I’m not used to the app) while another client was waiting for an appointment.

Only con during the haircut was that at the end she took off my cape before I got to see the cut with my glasses. So, I felt like I couldn’t ask for a slight change to what she did to my bangs.

I let my hair grow way too long, and so yesterday on a whim I visited Jenny's Hair Salon for a trim. Linda was my stylist, and she gave me the best haircut I've had in over a decade. Most importantly, it looked good both [1] after the haircut at the salon (dolled up with hairspray) and [2] this morning after my shower (fixed my way: wash-and-go/casual, no hair product).

Linda was meticulous in her attention to detail, and is a kind soul on top of that. She will be my hairstylist from this point forward.
