As someone said in a previous review the perfect description for this salon’s quality and customer service is “meh”.
Like the absolute minimum effort that your nails will look fine but in the process you must endure the following: half-hearted cuticle clean up half-hearted massage, if you insist on still going here just do the express mani or pedi and at least then you don’t have to suffer the massage and it’s cheaper no soaking for your hands it’s almost like a dry manicure and so I guess maybe the bowl soaking is a gimmick and you can go without it but if you like it it won’t be offered here no base coat whatsoever or any of the two clear products that salons typically use before starting on the nail polish all the manicurists look annoyed at your existence or at best aloof in a screw you sort of way except one woman who was smiling and setting things up if you’re getting a pedicure you need to hold a modified bridge because they don’t have true pedicure chairs and then it also risks your manicure because you’re lifting a leg to get your feet done and then that moves the pillow where the manicure takes place Holly in particular was exhausted maybe she had a long day but she was really showing it, when I went to pay I wasn’t going to leave a tip because from what I saw they didn’t care how their work turned out so in turn I didn’t feel the need to pay extra for the service and she insisted I leave a tip and so to just avoid any more trouble and get out of the salon sooner I tried to tip and then she asked to double my tip and I was like you know what fine here and left.
Never coming back myself but hope others are aware of what the service here can look like. Would leave 2 stars but wouldn’t you know worse salons do in fact exist in SF.
Oh and she messed up my thumb nail and despite fully looking at it didn’t make any...

I loved the initial look and feel of the original manicure. Edges were perfectly rounded, even on shorter nails.
Now the not as great: Mother and I got gel mani-pedis when she was in town. Polish had pinprick bubbles on multiple nails, and the nail tech actually glued my nail to my finger. I had to ask her to redo that one because she didn't catch it herself. When mum went to have the polish removed, they charged for a full manicure, but did not do a full manicure. They skipped smoothing out the nail surface, and only put on a single layer of polish, leaving the nails looking shredded. Two extra layers of polish would have fixed the problem.
On my end, the gels started peeling in 3 days. I am two weeks in and my polish is over half peeled off on my fingers. Toes still look fresh as day 1. Peeling started both at the nail bed and the nail edge, leading me to believe that the nails were not properly cleaned or capped.
Summary: Despite the negatives, I'm still debating whether it's worth a return trip, as they always do a fabulous job on my toes. Maybe I'll stick...
Read moreI asked for them specifically not to cut any of my cuticles because it would grow ugly and itch. But she still cut them. I paid $90 for used filer and buffer and likely uncleaned tools. My toe nails are slanted, she buffed my nail bed using the harsh side of the buffer that’s meant for acrylic. My assumption is she used the harsh side of the nail buffer on my nail bed because she didn’t want to “waste” the buffer. Can we talk about how many layers she painted the pink? The base coat already had bubbles, she left it. Usually if there’s bubbles, the bubbles will show once the nails cure. So to fix that, she must’ve painted 3 -5 coats of pink. I’m all for small businesses, but it’s also not right for charging me $90 with used filer and buffer. The least you can do is give me a new...
