I’ve lived in San Francisco for ten years and haven’t made it back to the public pier walk that extends north along the water from the Ferry Building, but it’s gorgeous and super well maintained! It has some good spots for fishing and has water taxi access. I didn’t know we had a water taxi. I read that boaters can also dock their boats for up to three hours at Pier 1 1/2, but this should be confirmed.
