This is an excellent coworking space for engineers. Below are things I like about it: No music in the common area. This place is all about heads down focus work. I had to leave wework because they play music in every single common area I've been to (and I visited multiple offices in NYC and sf). Keurig coffee machine that has both decaf and caffeinated pods. I like this much more than wework, which provides "fresh brewed" coffee but only has it 9-5pm and only caffeinated, which is a huge problem if you work late and need a coffee to stay up. 24/7 access via app controlled lock. Wework gives you this but only if you get a dedicated desk. This is provided to all members, including ones who go for the cheaper hot desk option. Snacks provided completely for free (see pics) plus cereal and milk. Vending machines with wider selection. The killer for me is caffeine free Diet Coke, which it has. Also has ramen. Great common rooms that are generally free where you can have larger meetings. Access to a gym and roof terrace. Awesome for bringing friends over or having parties. This access is 24/7-- you just borrow the key fob, which is hung on the bulletin board in the office. They have events like bagel Friday's. Love these things. The place is windowless, but the design makes it seem like there are tinted windows (see pics). This is a polarizing feature, but I personally love the lack of real windows because I work late and get depressed when the sun starts to rise and I have to go home. Like I said-- this place is all about focus. All the chairs are soft and you can sit in them all day. Not like wework, which has hard chairs in the common areas and meeting rooms that hurt your butt after a while (possibly by design). They gave me a week to week membership for the common area for $90/week, which is a great deal in my opinion.
The story behind this place is it's in the basement of a hotel, and they used to use the space for storage. After doing this for a while, someone figured out they could redesign it as an office space and make more money. So they did, and that's what it is now.
I think if you're an engineer you'll love this place-- but as a creative type I think you'll hate it. Wework is probably a better option for creative types...
Read moreI recently had a tech issue that was causing me a real headache and I'm so glad I found SF Connections. Not only did they provide me with a fantastic workspace, but the staff couldn't do enough to help. In particular, Aliea was an absolute superstar in solving my problem and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was up and running smoothly.
The workspace itself is excellent. It's clean, well-lit, and spacious, with plenty of room to work in peace and quiet. I really appreciated the snacks and beverages they provide on site, and the fact that they periodically have lunch on Fridays was a real treat. But it's really the staff who make the difference. They're all so friendly and helpful, and really go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. Overall, I can't recommend SF Connections highly enough. Whether you need a workspace for a day, a week, or longer, this is the...
Read moreI started my own business during covid, but I was tired of working from home all the time and wanted a space where I could focus that was in a different environment and where I could interact with others. Connections SF has lots of open space to focus and get my work done. I love the people I have met here and everything they offer. There are awesome amenities and the space is located in a great location. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quality, serene, and exceptional meeting/working space for a...
