Ross is a great place to shop. I have been going there for years. It is now the only outlet store in downtown San Francisco. Usually there is a decent selection of items. The employees are nice. It normally takes 10-15 minutes to check out. Not really a fan to wait in line outside the store, but in general you get into the store in a few minutes. My only complaint would be that one time I had really nice shoes, then I went to try something on to the fitting room, when I was done, my shoes were gone from my shopping card. The attendant lady did not know what happened, and I could not find them anywhere. The last time, I had a little bag with items of over $200 from another shop. They did not let me take it inside the fitting room. I do not know why they give you a number if you cannot take something you get in another shop. I was worried it was going to get stolen. Thanks God it did not. They should allow you to take things bought somewhere else if you are alone, and obviously they do not really watch items left in the fitting room area.

I really, really was impressed. I always thought of the store as being low budget, items nobody wanted or useless merch left over from the holidays. I had already shopped Macy's,Nordstroms, footlocker, and several other stores looking for shoes. I was having no luck. I couldn't even get anybody to help me in some stores, and others seemed over priced. I didn't even plan to visit the store but it was on the way home. The people there were really nice and helpful. They directed me to the shoe department. They didn't hound me. I didn't feel watched and I didn't feel deserted. I was so comfortable in being able to shop at my own pace, with no pressure, I was able to find a perfect size fitting, sporty brand looking, expressing ,"ME" pair of shoes. Thank you, ROSS

Well it is the day after Halloween so I went to Ross to see if they had Halloween clothes for my son and I (: I only found stuff for my baby son and when I went to the cash register it was the regular price so I asked when it was supposed to go on sale and the girl at the register (I think her name was Marcela) called to check with the manager and the manager had her mark it down for me!! YaaaaY!! I am SO Happy that they took the time to do that for me cause they could have easily just said "we don't know why it is not marked down" or something like that. So I figured I would leave a review about my lovely experience there today! Thank you!!

Bad customer service. 3 Stars because of decent past experiences.

I'm a man with 5 items of clothing ready to try on in the dressing room. I walk up to the rack where they inspect how many items of clothing/ give you a tag corresponding with quantity of clothing you bring in. First off, the lady asks me to put the clothes on a rack side with clothes on it already, which could cause confusion. I notice last second that there's a red stain on the white hem of the jacket I wished to try and asked if I could hand it to her because I did not wish to try it on anymore. The lady-- presumably Filipino, white haired, limited English-- does not understand what I am requesting and it's not until her coworker who speaks in Tagalog explains what I'm trying to do and why I don't want it anymore. She checks the clothing and hands me a card with mild irritation and I head into the room.

After I tried the clothing, I decided that I did not want them. 1 didn't fit well, and 3 were spotted with stains I didn't notice because they were folded in such a way that they could not be seen. I bring them out, the lady waves at the rack, checks the clothing, and asks what I wished to take. I said none but wished to see the jacket again because I figured that all the clothes were normally dirty and the one splotch on the jacket would be an easy clean. She waves her hand to shoo me away in defiance saying "no, no" and turns around to cut the interaction. There's nobody behind me and it's not like she was busy. What a poor interaction that soured my visit. I really would have bought that jacket, and it was worth 3 pairs of the jeans I brought in to try.

To the lady, if you don't want to work there, just leave. I literally did nothing to make the interactions go awry so I was taken aback by her last actions. It left me quite upset.

To the store, get her out. She doesn't understand her job and she's going to make you lose sales because of petty conflict she's fabricating out of thin air.

Terrible...

Well...🤔... This is very easy and to the point. I have had some unexplainable run in's w/a ¿few? T-Mobile employees in different depts and let's say I was Wrong in my initial approach as it triggered the wall of silêncio from the dept in question and I was starting to look back n2 the "other cell companies" sort of like digging in the garbage to find something important (sorry)☠️

I call in one day say 7 months ago ready for another employee to say "you've called here quite a bit and our Tech Support Dept is Busy!"☠️🤡🎢👎🛑⚡🔥🎬.

Instead The Customer Care Person I explained a "pretty in depth issue" to listened and I'm guessing while explaining was precision razor sharp and when I finished with my novel long explanation said, ok I pulled up your account, found the problem and am sorry this happened. I knew then a change in my Relationship with this company was like a Blessing to me. Not only did they on spot get months corrected in minutes they said "from this day forward Everytime you call bet. 9am-9pm you'll get us and we'll get it done no matter what we have to do. My family is selling our home and things are impossible right now and🕯️"Salem, Oregon T-Mobile"🕯️ has singlehandedly Saved Me for Months keeping my contact and gold star service and I applaud such an Awesome set of the New World's Future Leaders who make the World go round. I am eternally grateful for you guys and wish I could do miracle work for you as you've done for me. Indebted for LIFE GOD...

I call this flagship Ross - "Third World Ross" - as people from all around the globe on vacation shop here for fashion and luggage.

I've been coming here since the mid1990s and one thing is always guaranteed: the escalator on the first floor to second floor will not be working! There is also an elevator that is tediously slow found in the rear of the store.

I shop here for men's fashion and have found many jackets, hoodies, shoes, pants and tops. I usually find shoes by Puma, Nike, Dr Martens, Adidas and Vans. Sport tops by Adidas and pants by Levi's. If you are lucky you may be able to find a jacket by Alpha Industries.

The line downstairs is unbelievably long taking upwards to 15/20 minutes on a bad day in which the line snakes into the purse isle near the entrance. On the 2nd floor there is also a cashier, only one, who is swamped by customers. I've tried both and the first floor checkout is the better option.

Since the Pandemic, Ross has had high levels of theft by customers and vagrants. As a result, they now employ armed guards, some wearing bulletproof vests! Treat them nicely as they are just trying to keep the chaos of Market Street under control. They have a makeshift line now and let only 5 people...
