I'm giving one star because I was able to do what I went there to do. No stars for customer service. The problem was that one of the windows that was open did not have a sign stating it was closed. There was no one there to assist so I waited a few minutes, I saw this older man by the name of Bill looking at me but still he remained seated, he didn't say a word and after a minute or two he got up and went over to a different window that I was not at. After that he still remained silent, he could have notified me about that person that was sitting there at the window I was at not returning. Instead he chose to stand two windows down and keep looking at me as I smiled at him just waiting to be assisted. Another associate of his told him to call me to his window he still remained silent. So I walked to his window myself (2 windows down.) I didn't go where Bill was standing because I assumed it was a different cashier department especially when Bill was looking at me and not calling me to his window. I think he assumed the window I was at had a sign stating it was closed. So I believe he wanted to make me feel stupid and wait for nothing because he assume there was a closed sign after I told him there was no sign stating next window. In my opinion he was very unpleasant to deal with and very unprofessional. I think he should retire or look for a different department he enjoys. I was polite and patiently waiting, I was given attitude when I pointed out he was standing there the whole time and that he couldn't instruct me to come over because the window I was at was closed. All he said after I confronted him about that was, "yea" . Which I found surprisingly unprofessional and giving attitude for no good reason. I called to complain later and spoke with a female named April in the business tax department and she said she would advise the appropriate person of this complaint. I hope she did and didn't decide to cover for her associate bill if that's even...
Read moreIf there was a negative score I'd GIVE IT! Seriously the negligence! Whoever's running this place should get fired. About a month ago they were doing work out front and they had Workers doing maintenance on the walkway. No signs posted, no caution tape not even a single orange cone. Because of construction across the street no cyclists or people riding scooters had access to the lane. I was on a scooter and hit one of their metal half circle things the had lying on the floor. Pretty soon people are going to really get hurt from all the construction going on down town. Everyone had to use the side walk. All I got was two stitches. If your going to do work whether your building is public or private property look out for pedestrians, cyclists, skaters, people in wheelchairs, and people with disabilities. #yourfired #do your job #protectthepeople...
Read moreEvery time I call or interact with the City of San Jose staff, I get a helpful, courteous response in a reasonable time frame. It's clear the people working here are trying to serve the public, and they usually do a good job. Big municipal governments are never perfect but San Jose does a really good job with the resources they have and I haven't had any appreciably bad experiences with them over the years! Thanks San Jose staff for being such good public servants. PS please annex Campbell, our local government is terrible!
EDIT: not very happy with the Saratoga Ave project between Westgate and Williams Road; reached out their traffic people and got no response after 3 weeks so far. Minus 1 star, 4's still pretty...
