Selam Market — Attraction in San Jose

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Selam Market in San Jose, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I called to inquire about their injera bread to the moment I stepped out of the store, every interaction was marked by warmth and genuine care.

I have to commend Mohammad for his exceptional customer service. He went above and beyond to assist me, offering valuable insights and recommendations tailored to my preferences.

I have been customer for a while and I keep noticing some behaviors I don’t like. The owner (older man) always changes prices and increases it if the client is non Ethiopian. Very disappointed. Please write your price on the item. In multiple occasions the price was changed when non Ethiopian person was shopping.

The last straw that broke the camel back is when they sold me bad , rancid barley flour (beso) and I called them to refund me and I explained it’s very long drive. They didn’t care they want me to come give them the opened 20$ item to get refund. You lost my business.
