I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to visit Escape Room Puerto Rico, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Take this and the others reviews as a warning to anyone considering this establishment for a thrilling escape room experience. Prepare yourself for a complete letdown and a shocking display of abysmal customer service.
Upon arriving at the scheduled time, my friends and I were filled with excitement and anticipation. We had been eagerly looking forward to this event for weeks, hoping for an unforgettable adventure. However, our dreams of a thrilling escape were crushed when we discovered the doors of Escape Room Puerto Rico were inexplicably closed.
The first red flag was the lack of any prior communication from the owners regarding the closure. We had received no emails, text messages, or even a phone call to inform us of the unfortunate situation. We had to find out the hard way by standing there, dumbfounded and perplexed, in front of a locked door.
Attempting to salvage the situation, we immediately tried to contact the owners to seek an explanation or, at the very least, an apology. Sadly, our efforts were in vain. We made multiple attempts to reach them through various channels—phone calls, emails, social media—but our cries for assistance fell on deaf ears. The complete lack of response from the owners only added insult to injury.
The sheer disappointment we felt in that moment is difficult to put into words. We had set aside time in our busy schedules, eagerly rearranging our plans, only to be greeted by an empty, closed escape room. It was an infuriating waste of our time and energy.
The complete lack of professionalism and respect for their customers demonstrated by Escape Room Puerto Rico is unacceptable, on this occasion and the other occasions from the other reviewers. This experience has left a bitter taste in our mouths, and we will not be returning to Escape Room Puerto Rico or recommending it to anyone.
I strongly advise against wasting your time, money, and energy on Escape Room Puerto Rico. The poor conditions of the escape room showed that the management did not prioritize their customers' experience, and instead focused solely on profit.
On top of that, the staff was unprofessional, rude, and argumentative. Their lack of respect and empathy towards the customers was alarming, and their inability to address customer complaints showed a lack of proper training and management. Their demeanor added to the negative experience, making the whole thing even more frustrating.
To top it all off, the staff refused to give us a refund despite not even starting the game. This level of dishonesty and disrespect towards customers was the final straw. It showed that Escape Room Puerto Rico was only interested in taking our money without providing a service. It is clear that this establishment lacks any sense of customer service or integrity and is solely meant as a tourist trap.
I would highly discourage anyone from visiting Escape Room Puerto Rico.    Read moreThis was the third time I had been to an escape room but the first time I beat it! I was part of a group of three and we did the airplane crash themed escape room (which was of 3 star difficulty) and we were able to do it with 2:37 left on the timer. I feel that the amount of time we had for the 3 star was enough but it could pose some problems for the harder ones (given they require more thinking and more clues), but one would just have to be pretty good in advance. It was generally less low tech than other escape rooms I have visited but it still managed to have a charm to it. The person attending us was called Edwin Feliciano and he was an excellent employee that was very welcoming and friendly to us. He explained the rules of the game and answered any doubts we had with upmost patience and respect. While we did the escape room also, he gave us some great hints that were helpful but still left room for one to figure them out which was great for still feeling accomplished even after asking for help. Edwin is truly great and I hope to see him the next time I decide to visit and try my hand at another escape room.
