If I could give a 0 I would. 1. When I got to this shop, there was 1 customer in a chair. The lady that was on my feet came over and she was moving so quickly and so engaged with conversation, she was not focused on me or what she was doing. 2. She asked if I wanted a cut down, I said yes because, my toe nails were not even on both feet. One foot was shorter than the other. 3. She was just cutting and conversing and again not paying close attention to my feet and what she was doing. 4. They advertised they offer beverages. Not one time was I offered anything so I asked. Then I got a glass of wine. I complained, and another lady came over, she was asking me why I wasn’t happy. I explained to her that my toes were still uneven and it looked horrible. The lady offered to put acrylic powder on my toes to correct the issue. I said no because, I do not use acrylic on my body period. Then the lady offered a 20% discount for their mistake which was insulting to me since I came to do good business with this establishment. In fact if the lady would have not been so messy, I normally spend 60.00+ for nails. I never use gel nail. That was the horrible finished product. Do NOT GO HERE! While I was there another customer called and was complaining also. I hope this helps save someone from a tragic experience in the future! As someone that lives in San Marcos, I just wanted a good pedicure without having to travel to my usual spot in South Austin; However, I learned a lesson today and it was never about a discount because, I have to wait for this mess to grow out to recover. I was going to get an eyebrow wax too but after the foot experience, I couldn’t continue to ask for any additional services. The fact that all those folks were looking at me as if I did something wrong was not needed. I’m a customer why? Then even on checkout it was a cold horrible experience and I’m sorry that I made a conscious decision to do business here but never ever again. I didn’t need a discount, I was looking to pay full price and build a new relationship in my hometown with a business that didn’t appreciate me or want my...
Read moreSo I'll start by saying I'm probably in the wrong or not super knowledgeable. I haven't gotten my nails done in almost 2 years. The last time I came here was with a friend and she did all the talking. Cece did an amazing job with my pedicure. Very kind and sweet. Andy on the other hand was just very rough with my manicure. Which apparently I didn't get. I asked for a manicure with dipping power. With the white tip, like a French manicure. I wanted my nails to look natural. I guess I don't know much because I didn't realize natural meant square nails. But correct me if I'm wrong but aren't suppose to clean under your nail so they don't hurt? It felt like he was grinding off skin and nail. No manicure. Just the dip and white tip paint. My fingertips are raw like some of my skin has been rubbed off. My receipt says full gel set and a pedicure. I didn't get gel anything. Or maybe I'm just that un-knowledgeable. Edit as of 3/27/25: I'm not un-knowledgeable. After having gone to a different salon to get my nails fixed. I can 100% say I was treated horribly by the nail tech. My pedicure was and still is fine. But my hands and fingers were a different story. My nails physically hurt for days after I got them done. The dip was so think I couldn't even feel anything for 3 weeks! It wasn't until I went somewhere else and asked for the exact same thing did I realize how horrible my nails were. The poor tech had to grind all the dip and still soak my nails just to take care of hands and apply the new dip. I was uncomfortable once I sat down at the manicure station. Felt like an idiot the whole time and just went along for fear of being a problem customer. Now I know better. Avoid this place if you want sort of manicure. My cuticles and skin around my nails were burned off by the grinder and took days to heal. I understand being busy but if you don't have time to give each customer your full attention be honest with those waiting. I'm sure that played a part as more people walked in and the guy was telling them 15 minutes while still working...
Read moreI usually don’t do this but yesterday I had a really bad experience here. I love this place, I’ve been coming here for a year and a half now and they’ve always done a good job that I’ve even told people to come here with me, however, I went last Thursday to get a refill and yesterday I noticed one of my nails was detaching from my actual nail. I came in and asked nicely if they could re do that one so it didn’t fall off as I had just gotten them done recently. I could tell that they got a little annoyed because I got there 30 min before closing but I had work before that so I couldn’t go earlier. They told me I was gonna have to wait and so I did, but when the guy took me he started grabbing my hand very aggressively and he decided to rip my nail off which made me bleed a lot. He could tell I got upset because it obviously hurt, but he cleaned it and continued to redo the nail. However, I could tell he rushed it and it ended up being crooked, way shorter than the other ones and on top of that my finger was hurting and he was not careful at all. I always get a basic nude color set which is the easiest thing to do, no design, no extra stuff aside from the almond shape, which is why I was very disappointed in how...
