I had a horribly uncomfortable experience with the owners son that was the current manager on duty, and I’m honestly so upset…. All bc of a pair of Larimar earrings from the case (husband bought them for me as a Valentines present from the kids, and I thankfully tried to wear them early…. Because, when I went to put them on, I found out that the metal hook back was sharp (like someone bent them with regular pliers maybe?) causing the earring to cut the inside of my ear hole and it began bleeding.
So, logically, next day we took them in to exchange them, explained the situation to the sweet lady behind the counter, and she went and grabbed the manager, the owner son. After explaining the situation again to him, he first exclaimed disbelief that something like that would happen… so I showed him my bleeding ear hole. He then told me “they are metal. You can just bend them back “ …. I tried to explain to him that you cannot do that with sterling silver earring backs, you would have to replace the hooks. But we didn’t stop there… He then incredulously began questioning me on why I didn’t look at them better before purchasing them. I explained that, besides being in the case and going straight from the case home, with an almost $60 pair of earrings, I would never have thought to scrutinize them before purchasing them.
After having to argue back-and-forth, finally, he agreed to call his mom, who approved an exchange for me. Since the other pairs of Larimer earring backs looked similar, I chose a pendant to exchange it for- saying upfront, to let me know the price difference. He told me with disbelief in his voice that the pendants were “very expensive”. Even though I thought that was an incredibly rude comment, I responded that yes, I knew that, and understood there would be a price difference. However he again stated that the pendants were expensive, and then told me the price of each one of them. When I told him which one I wanted, he AGAIN stated the price, and told me “see I told you they were expensive”, instead of picking up the pendant. Since it was now the third time, I was honestly irritated when told him I fully understood, and I still wanted the pendant…. And thankfully he stopped arguing and took it up to the front, dumped it on the counter to the girl and told her to “take $50 off”.
I began complaining that that wasn’t even the full cost, and he told me that “that was had been authorized”…. Even though I’d been standing right there, and the cost of the earrings was never brought up, only their condition (he never even mentioned that they made me bleed, and I think put them back in the case, which also, ew).
I have tried twice after this incident to call and speak to literally any other manager, but I think I just got him again, because once I explained what happened over the phone, the gentlemen identifying as the current manager hung up on me. And then today I tried to go in in person, and the only one working was him.
So at this point I’ve just decided to chalk it up to a learning experience, and take my business elsewhere. Previously we were regulars to the shop, but I’m not sure I’ll be going back for awhile, mostly bc of how uncomfortable he made me feel. Between outright scoffing at me for wanting to exchange them at the beginning, to telling me I can “just bend them back” on an almost $60 pair of silver hook earrings, then lambasting me for not having scrutinized them before purchasing, only to then not even give me back the full cost of the earrings? I won’t lie, I’m still pretty hurt. I found it completely unnecessary to treat a customer like that, and to be so rude that it ruined an incredibly expensive necklace I’d been so excited for…
I hope someone else can understand my feelings, at least. And fair warning before purchasing anything the locked cases- check them...
Read moreWith a heavy heart I write this review. I do this so it’s spoken out loud, so that “if” anyone else has had similar issues in the space they will have the courage to speak as well! I’ll start by saying the owners have every right to ban and kick anyone out of there space. You do NOT have the right to put hands on a customer as they are complying with their orders to leave! If that is not enough info~ This it what happened ~ Sunday morning a few friends and I were in the salt cave drumming and singing. Two of them decided to do Happé (a legally used form of tobacco that can be purchased at most any other Crystal shop in the valley ). It’s a personal boundary of the owner that this particular plant medicine isn’t welcome in her space. There is NOT ONE SIGN STATING THIS ANYWHERE IN THE STORE! I knew from a private conversation I had with her years ago. My friends knew this and made their own decisions. I was fired a year ago for similar reasons. I shared this with my people when it happened. Synchronicities Employees still Do Not know about this. My biggest issue with this is that, as I was asked to leave, doing nothing wrong, and as I stopped to clean my feet off in respect of the space and not make a mess, I was grabbed by the arm and pulled out. There are 8 cameras in the 400sq space to show this. There is also audio recording with the video (yes employees and friends your being video AND AUDIO recorded. Says only video on there disclaimer.) It’s not my job or place to uphold others boundaries as they keep them secret. I’m truly heart broken it when down the way it did! I was banned yet I will never go back!! I don’t let people disrespect me in Any space!
I still highly recommend the cave!!! Regardless of the heavy energy in the rest of the space, that cave is still the most clean and healing space in the valley!!! Just leave the plant medicine home, unless it is cacao or a CBD(cannabis)...
Read moreScammed me out of $100.
I explained to the lady who answered the phone that I wanted to book a private session for my friends birthday. There were originally 5 people. They told me the way to do it was to get a punch card for $100, which I did, and that I was booked for 7:30 on Friday. I then found out three other people could make it and tried to call to see if I could add them to the room. They told me I didn’t have a booking, and if I wanted to it would cost $200. I asked if I could use the $100 I was told I had to buy towards this cost. They said no it was non refundable and if I wanted the room i had to pay the additional $200. I JUST BOUGHT the gift card yesterday-I haven’t picked it up or used it. But they said there was nothing I could do. They asked the owner who’s as unwilling to do anything about it, when I explained that $100 is a lot of money just 24 days before Christmas the extract response I got was “yea, I’m sure.” I’m beyond horrified, I hung up in tears after paying the additional $200 because I already had 8 people coming for my friends birthday in just a few hours and I couldn’t cancel it. I feel sick to my stomach and taken advantage of. After tonight I will never ever come back here again. I feel so scammed and taken advantage of and the complete lack of sympathy when I was explicitly told by them to buy this thing and that was how I booked the service I thought I was getting. They are disgusting.
Edit:this is for the salt room, I’m sure the people “upstairs”’are lovely. The people I talked to kept saying there was nothing they could do because the people “upstairs” must have messed...
