Coastal Dispensary Santa Barbara — Attraction in Santa Barbara

Ordered online yesterday about three hours before close, did not receive an order ready email or phone call. Show up the next morning to pick up my order and I was informed by the cashier that they get rid of orders at the end of the day, despite NEVER receiving any notification that my order was ready. Why have an online ordering system if you’re too busy in store to pay attention to it? I even called and got no answer and was no able to leave a voicemail.

She offers to gather the items, then proceeds to tell me that my total is $65 more than what I was initially expecting, because the items are no longer on sale. So because of THEIR lack of competency and inability to have a properly functioning online system I’m essentially being charged extra. Told her to put all the items back and thanks for wasting my time and energy.

I’ve frequented two other coastal establishments and they were absolutely not like this; my online order was filled promptly and even when it wasn’t I was able to get in contact with someone at the store. It’s a shame because this is the closest dispensary to me and I would have been a very frequent customer. I’m sure the spot is fine for tourists but...

I’m a local who has been a customer of Coastal on and off for years, and after my most recent experience, I’m done. This place has completely gone downhill.

I came in ready to find some cool products and walked out irritated and unimpressed. I was “helped” by someone named Brady (face piercing + neck tattoo) who acted like assisting me was a burden. He was lazy, disinterested, and completely unknowledgeable about the products. I asked about strains, pre-rolls, comparable brands — and got nothing but blank stares and "I don't know." No effort, no recommendations, no interest. It felt like I was bothering him by even being there.

As someone who supports local businesses and has friends in the grow industry, it’s disheartening to see a place with such potential be dragged down by unmotivated staff. Coastal used to be decent, but the quality of service and knowledge has fallen off completely.

For anyone fed up with this place, do yourself a favor and check out Megan's in Goleta. The staff there are friendly, informed, and actually care. You’ll leave with the right products and a good experience — not wondering why you wasted your time.

Not a good experience with the customer service from this dispensary. My girlfriend and I wanted a high THC tincture and had seen a bottle on their website that had 1000mg of THC per bottle. We came in to get it, but unfortunately they were sold out. We asked the salesperson for something comparable and she recommended a bottle that was good for sleep which would be a good alternative. Once examined the bottle in the parking lot, we realized the tincture only had 125mg THC for the entire bottle (not remotely close to the 1000mg per bottle we were seeking). We went in to see about exchanging for a bottle that has 1000mg, which should have been the option recommended to us in the first place, but all sales are final. No offer for a discount or anything on the 1000mg bottle. We just got attitude from the salesperson. We will be spending our money at another dispensary...
