I couldn’t wait to go to Los Arroyos for only two items…guacamole and carnitas. When I lived in the area, this is where I’d go for both. The guacamole didn’t disappoint as you can see from the photo. Beautifully presented and delicious. The salsas are get-your-own from the salsa bar (my, I love California for this). The carnitas was really flavorful albeit a little drier than I remember from what back when when it was more moist due to the lovely pork fat. No matter, it was all delicious. BTW, I ordered al a crate so it was $18 for three tacos - generous amount of carnitas along with raw onion and cilantro. At this location you order at the counter and they your food to you. It was fine but there are far better options. One thing important to note, if you've seen a menu or an advertisement that includes margaritas here, think again. It's a wine cooler, not a margarita. They dress it up and it tastes ok, it's just not a margarita and shouldn't be listed as such. We had the ceviche for an appetizer and if that was the only thing being graded this place would be all set. Bright, fresh and delicious but that's where my praise stops. I had the tacos de mar. Fish tacos. Bland and tasteless. The beans and rice were fine but, you know, it's beans and rice.....The wife enjoyed her empanadas but for me, a wine drink masquerading as a margarita and forgettable food can't be rewarded with anything more than...

This restaurant is cutting corner to keep their cost very low, if you want decent size meal and great salad bar and chips go to Los Agaves. Upon entry Pico de Galo looked extremely old in salad bar. I am vegan, and so is my mother. The only food that I can order is side of bean and rice which I always add from salad bar vegetable to add to tortilla. So we ordered two dishes. we waited over 20 min and nothing. I had to ask them where is our food, I think they forgot or ignored the order. the young lady ( not so polite) came to table and i ask can we have two salad cups she rudely replied this is only a side I can only bring you one.
