Jack's Jewelers — Attraction in Santa Monica

Did jewelry repair/maintenance with them. Overall, very disappointed with my experience. Didn't feel that it was entirely honest business from their side. After I turned my jewelry to them and paid for the service, the customer service became extremely poor: they never called me back as promised; when I came to pick up my jewelry the work wasn't fully done (I actually had to come back several times more); the final result wasn't 100% what I expected and what we initially discussed. In addition to that, it was quite expensive for the actual work that they did. I had a quote from another place in downtown LA which was significantly cheaper but decided to go to Jack's Jewelers, since I saw the wonderful reviews and was convinced that they would do a better job. I felt a little lame, walking into this classy spot with a fifteen year old necklace that had broken on me. Went in just thinking they'd soder the broken piece and hand it back, but Jack went way above and beyond, having the pendant replated and spending time to find a brand new silver chain of the same style as the old beaten one. Everything was measured out to the specifications of what I'd brought in, and he kept me informed along the way with phone calls once a week or so, just letting me know where he was at with it. Jack's is the place to go if you need any jewelry work/repairs done. I took 2 platinum 950 rings to him to get resized. I was very nervous after hearing horror stories from friends who had their rings completely ruined by an inexperienced jeweler.

Jack gave me confidence that he knew how to work with platinum. He did a phenomenal job and also made sure to check the lab grading inscription before I dropped it off and after I picked it up. I even verified it under a microscope once I got home, and everything checked out.
