That was then, now there is this. May 30 the remote for my Wifes' chair quit working. I tried what I could think of but there wasn't much to check besides batteries. I contacted the store and got the store manager, William Lippert. He said sometimes the remote unpairs with the chair and mentioned some reasons that did not apply to us. He said he would send a video to repair the remote. He said if the video did not help service would have to come out. I watched the video, made a step by step note, and went out to repair the remote. It did not work. I carefully tried it again. Nope. I contacted service. Tony was available and came out in less than an hour. He checked a couple things and proceeded to attempt the repair. I watched him step by step, adding one step I did not do. It worked. I asked him why it worked for him and not for me. He said 'You used the instructions from the video, right?' I said 'Yes, of course'. He said 'The video is wrong. The remote will never repair with those instructions'. He showed me the l step needed to repair the remote, the step not shown in the video. I thanked him, paid him, and he left. He was here 5 minutes. I emailed the store manager. I told him he has quite a scam going. He sends a video he knows won't work and then service comes out and repairs the remote. I said his video cost me $179. His email back he assured me the video is accurate because 'it is from La-Z-Boys "Customer Care Videos" Page on their website'. He said Tony has been with them 30yrs and is the service manager. Read moreThe La-z-boy furniture gallery is really lovely and full of beautiful furniture. Ashley was my sales person and she was knowledgable, helpful and a delight. We chose the Finley reclining couch after sitting and evaluating all the couches. It was so comfortable and perfect for my home.After many ,many weeks it arrived. The fabric was perfect as was the design. I noticed a smell from the couch while it was being assembled by the great delivery people but gave it no mind. When everyone left i started getting a headache but thought it was just the excitement of new furniture and activity. By the end of the day i had a migraine and nausea. I opened windows turned on fans and realized it was the couch off gassing. By the next day i was so sick i was vomiting. I called the store to come pick up the sofa it was killing me. Their response was “You signed a special order contract you are basically stuck with it or we will come pick it up for $119 let it off gas in our warehouse and deliver it back for $119.” Ridiculous, let it off gas in the middle of more stinky couches. Also the couch is horribly uncomfortable. It is as hard as a rock. Everyone who has sat in complains of a back and neck pain. It is like sitting in a hard uncomfortable wooden chair , definitely not the Finley we sat in and loved. They will do nothing to help me get the couch i thought we ordered. I have never had any physical reaction to a piece of new furniture in my life and i am 74 yrs old. I must admit i have been a La-z-boy customer and lover of their furniture since the 1980’s but never again. I am done...
Read moreMy son took me to lazy boy to look at recliners Patti cooper was the sales woman helping us I told her what I was looking for I sat in one, it was nice I'm a disabled senior and my son thought I should get a Lyft/recliner, as down the road, I may need one, I sat on one of those and I fell in love I guess, it's electric, the remote lets me lift my legs up, higher than the one I have now, which I really like, I can move the pillow behind my head, and the lumbar behind my back too, it's very comfortable it's fabric, a beautiful brown color, this one they had it in the warehouse, so I'm able to get it delivered in a week, can't wait to get it, Patti was very knowledgeable, kind, helpful to us, they have a huge variety of chairs, in leather and fabric plus other furniture, very nice store, beautiful furniture, and accessories clean store and restroom, which I used., thanks for your help Patti she works all days except Thursday and Fridays it's Saturday, I got my new chair, the guys were great delivering.
