I was visiting town from Reno, NV and on my last night in California, I stopped by this restaurant. This is a nice genuine Mexican restaurant. A bit pricy for the menudo but otherwise worth the visit because of how tasty their food is. You can get what looks like a 16oz cup of menudo (to go) for about 18.00 and change, their burritos vary in price from 7.00 (with tax) for their regular size which includes your choice of meat, rice, and beans --i got a chorizo burrito and it was so tasty because it was made to order unlike the chipotle grill that has it sitting in their metal containers. Or their supreme for about 9.90(with tax) that has rice, beans, guacamole, and I think sour cream plus your choice of meat topping. One recommendation is if they would upgrade their choice of drinks. They don't have a soft drink machine, and they drinks come in a glass bottle or gatorades in their plastic bottles. You also get a cute little paper bag with tostada chips, and two little containers of salsa. The lady that helped take my order and cooked my order was so nice, I just didn't get her name. It seems like she and her male coworker speak mainly Spanish, but they do...
Read moreI was here today with my family and a friend, we let the guy in the cashier know we were all together and he was rude and only wanted to talk to my father not me or my mom, we ordered mexican cokes and they didn’t have any so we were charged for can cokes, we took a seat, and my birria was too spicy to eat, when my mother asked for a cup to take home our left over food they only gave us 1 cup when we needed 2, they were impolite, I asked if I could take my left over tortillas that we had touched already and they said no that we could buy some if we wanted, so I’m guessing that tortillas we leave are passed on to other customers, I’ve worked as a cashier before for years and been around in the business of food since birth, I highly do believe that you give the customer what they want or like because they’re the reason why the business is running... I had been coming to this family business for years but will look for an...
Read moreGreat food and hospitality. We were weary travelers driving home from camping, stopping for a quick bite. Felt like I stepped into a kind tia or tio's house, didn't speak their preferred language and they still treat us like a special house guest. If I were to go there again, I would try their menudo - seems like everybody in the shop order that to eat in or to go. Tortillas freshly made in-house are awesome - made the quesadillas taste really good. Totally recommend.
It was my fault for not having read the reviews first so that's why language barrier came as surprise to me. BUT that is not their fault and in no way that would take away from the quality of food and service they gave us.
I ate quesabirria - made with flour...
