I've bought gifts a couple times here way back when. Most recently I went in because someone I worked for gave me an old gift certificate they had been given and had laying around. So I went to see what I could get with it. It looked pretty old so I stopped at the counter to double check it still had a balance and was still good. The kid at the register had to call the manager to check it. So i browsed around while that was being done. I btowsed for quite a while. After about 15 min I checked back. Nope it was still being verified. Browsed some more... Long story short. About 45 min passed before they finally said yes its good but they hadn't seen one in quite some time. Over 20 years to be exact. Thats how old the thing was. She had to transfer the amount from it onto the currently used gift card system. But in the end i bought some tasty weird items from around the world. They have a pretty wide selection of quirky unusual food items from all over the place. Old vintage things also you dont see carried at most places. While I docked a star for the long wait I almost feel guilty for as old as it was. Other than that i was impressed with thier service and merchandise. If you are in the mood for something different. Go in and check them out. They arent the most inexpensive prices in town but the few extra bucks is worth it rather than having to go find or travel to find stuff they carry. Plus the gift card is good on the website and several other stores they I guess, own. Bed Bath & Beyond being one of them. More flexible than some cards I say. And more choices is better in my book when it comes...
Read moreI was working specifically with a manager Chris at the Santa Rosa location. I stage homes for a living. I purchased a Tyson sectional from the store in which I wanted another chaise piece that was discontinued. This was on a Sunday.Chris informed me that the last chaise was on hold for another customer. The longest they could hold it for that customer was 48 hours and to return to the store on Wednesday morning. If the chaise was still there I could purchase it. Unfortunately when I arrived they changed the timing they could sell the couch until closing. Mind you it’s been over 48 hours. I drove three hours to retrieve this chaise and am super disappointed in the line of communication and how they operated...
Read moreA cashier named Stacy profiles people. She actually called management on us while we were shopping for kitchen supplies. She said that we were sketchy. Wow! I have never been treated that way before. I used to shop at the World Market in Roseville all the time and never had an issue. I will never come back here. In addition to the aggressive and discrimatory behavior of the staff, I find the prices slightly high considering the subpar quality of their kitchen items. I would recommend paying more elsewhere as you will get what...
