This was our 6-year old daughter's first true vacation and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. She never wanted to leave the pool. We made s'mores on the fire pit and just enjoyed a quiet, relaxing few days. Our daughter loved the fact that she could see boats, swans (and baby swans), and geese from our cottage. ||As a mom, I loved the fact that there was a quick breakfast available with bagels and cereal. I could use the on-site dryer to dry our towels and swim suits that hadn't dried all the way overnight. They even had a little library on site. It was quiet and family friendly. We had high hopes to go fishing but never did. It would have been very easy to do so though if we had. ||The communication was great. We were sent multiple emails leading up to our stay on how to check in, use the amenities, parking, etc. While we were there I had a few questions so I texted and they replied promptly. They also had the option to call or email of course. ||The cottage and property appeared very well kept. We saw multiple people everyday watering the plants, cleaning the pool, etc. The inside of our cottage was clean and stocked with bathing and pool towels. There was water in the fridge and coffee pods to use in the coffee maker. The heater in the bathroom was the best decision they made in the cottages. It was perfect for having on while in the open shower or after coming in from the pool. ||We could not have chosen a better place to stay and will for...
Read moreLet’s be real, this is no typical AirBnB where you’re in charge of cleaning and sweeping. Birdie and their team work diligently to ensure a perfectly seamless stay.
Right away we chatted with Birdie to confirm details and I mentioned my husband and I got married recently and were using this time to unwind as a mini-moon. That very small detail was brought to life and their sweet team decorated the front of our cabin with adorable signage to commemorate our wedding!
We stayed in Dixie which is the smaller of the cabins, but it is no tiny house. Situated comfortably in the coral of cabins you’ve got a sizable living space, kitchenette with anything you need (along with snacks, updated keurig, waters, plates, bowls and silverware), a king size bed with gorgeous large windows that peak you into a fall fairytale, and a huge bathroom, walk in rain-shower, and comfortable HEATED floors throughout. That’s right, I said Heated floors.
We stayed cozy in our cabin, but also spent time outside in the pool and hot tub, we watched the sunset while sitting fire-side (also lakeside) and sat in the outdoor furniture to look through our wedding photos.
Anything you need; including a s’mores basket, extra blankets, pool specific towels, washer/dryer, continental breakfast, full size kitchen and appliances, etc., are available in their clubhouse.
Our sweet cabin was meticulously cleaned. Not a scrap or stray hair. We were extremely impressed.
Thank you for everything OTC! We know...

The main living room also has refrigerators to store food if you plan on cooking onsite. ||Beware, this place attracts babies and kids of all ages who love to be in the pool. Lots of guests are repeat and from Chicago so plan accordingly. Very busy in season so book well in advance (love to see an adults week in the summer or fall). ||Overall, perhaps the best overall lodging in Saugatuck and we...
