This is a very special place (I will use the word special too much here). I just got my second piece from them yesterday, but have been a fan of this store for years. I follow them on Instagram, and love swooning over their quite unique pieces. I don't wear lots of jewelry, nor do I wear super flashy jewelry, but I see pieces from Prince Estate that are so unique, I just keep thinking about them.
So, for a real review, let me cover the essentials:
Products: Their pieces are wonderful. They have an incredible range, from reasonably priced fun, cocktail rings to mind-blowing heiress statement pieces, and everything in between. They cover all the basics, stud diamond earrings, pendant necklaces, engagement rings, etc. But everything has something special about it. Lots of art deco, rare heirloom pieces, and again, so many pieces with wildly different elements. The first thing I got from them was this most amazing tourmaline cocktail ring. I creeped on it via Instagram for months, and when it was finally mine I could not take it off. I have never owned a piece like it, and nothing I see (even things that cost 10x more) seem as perfect to me. Then, yesterday, we headed into SF for some paperwork stuff, and went in via Sausalito so I could pop into the store. There were, as always, so many lovely things. But, once again, it was like there was a tractor beam from me to a pair of earrings. Like the ring, nothing outrageous, a real everyday set, but just so unique, so me, so special. I knew if I left without them, I would regret it, so I didn't. I just cannot say enough about how special their pieces are.
The team. The products are amazing, but the team is even better. They are very helpful, incredibly responsive, and really care about the customers and their pieces. I message in Instagram when I see a piece I like, and I can get info, pricing, and updates on new arrivals. These are the kind of business owners you want to keep working with over and over. They never pressure you to buy. They just loving seeing people get excited about their pieces. Of course, it is their great taste that selects all these special products, but it is their above and beyond effort that sticks with me.
Price: Listen, it's high end estate jewelry, none of it is cheap. But, I think two things are key: a) they do have a range of items, so that you can find a special gift without breaking the bank that still will be memorable OR if you have the means, you will also be able to secure that 80 ct. emerald necklace for the Met Gala next year. It's very much a business where anyone in the market for something special can find what they dreamed of; and 2) the owners are very kind with sales and discounts. If you follow on Instagram, you will see sales every so often, and they are real discounts off the real prices (not like most retailers where they mark it up before marking it down).
Go visit them. Pop in to see their stuff. You will be blown away. Then, next time you need something special, you will know exactly...
Read moreI dropped off a sapphire and diamond band/ring on January 1 to replace two sapphires that had loosened and fallen out of the band. I was promised the ring back on 1/11.
While I was at the store, the saleswoman Sarah and another older gentlemen were very aggressive on selling me diamond earring studs. I tried a few on, but was not there to purchase diamonds. They kept pushing, bargaining prices. I noticed that a few of the diamonds were different sizes from their other counterpart and did not trust their quality or craftsmanship. I left the store with my husband to our car in the parking lot a block from the store. The older man from the store ran after me trying to make a deal, saying they would sell me the diamond earrings at a discount and give me the ring repair complimentary for $4200. He even wrote in the back of my service ticket for the ring and said he would honor the price when I returned to pick up the ring. My husband and I had very bad tastes in our mouths from this experience. What high end jeweler makes deals selling diamonds in a parking lot? Why is he chasing me down the street? At this point, I felt regretful leaving my ring with them.
Fast forward, I called the store on 1/10 to see when I could pick up on 1/11. They shared it’s not ready and would take longer bc they did not have the right color sapphires to add to the ring. I finally received a call on 1/17 that the ring was ready. Upon pick up, I noticed that the two sapphires added were different colors, obvious to the naked eye. One was very dark and the other very light - not matching the other stones. They said they could redo the ring acknowledging the color difference, but I of course don’t trust them to do so. Why would they even feel Comfortable giving this ring back to me in this condition? After some debate, the store was only able to offer me 25% off, which I accepted.
As I was leaving, the older man who chased me down the parking lot said condescendingly with a laugh, “you seem very nervous”. And I said “I’m not nervous, I’m disappointed and pissed”. He continued to berate me, and I reminded him that he tried to barter diamond earrings with me in a parking lot like a desperate used car salesman.
This shop is total amateurish, does not take their work or inventory seriously, and are classless and patronizing. I do...
Read moreMy wife and I recently had the pleasure of shopping for a diamond ring - our anniversary gift from this store, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. I must commend the patience, dedication, and professionalism of Sarah, who was our salesperson during this process.
We spent over two hours browsing through various options, and Sarah's extensive knowledge of their product range made the process much easier than we had anticipated. Despite the time we took and the numerous questions we had, Sarah remained patient, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire experience.
She took the time to explain the characteristics of each diamond and ring setting in detail, which allowed us to make a well-informed decision about our purchase. What stood out to us was her genuine commitment to ensuring we found the perfect ring, rather than simply making a sale.
Because of Sarah's outstanding service, we not only feel confident in our purchase, but we also truly enjoyed the shopping experience. We will undoubtedly return for future jewelry needs and would highly recommend this store to anyone in the market for beautiful, quality jewelry. A huge thank you to Sarah and the team for making our diamond ring shopping experience so memorable.
Keep up the excellent...
