First time dining here - ambience and views seemed great so decided to give it a try. I ordered a glass of champagne and an omelette. I took one bite of the omelette and found a long, black hair inside of it. I politely sent it back and ordered something else. While waiting, someone sat down at the table in front of me and somehow knocked my table over onto my lap (lol). My champagne spilled all over me and glass shattered everywhere. I sat for many minutes, soaking wet, waiting for someone to help. At this point, I was ready to go but tried to make the best of it. After asking for the bill, I waited for over 15 minutes to receive it. The server came over and said 'don't worry, we didn't charge you for the dish with the hair in it'. Nothing else was compensated..I didn't even get an apology. This would've been an easy situation to rectify with minimal effort or some sort of accountability. I recently visited this charming French restaurant with a group of friends, and it was such a delightful experience! When I arrived around 3:00 PM, I asked if they had space for six people. At first, the host seemed a little confused, but he quickly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He even rearranged tables to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated.
The service throughout the visit was impeccable—everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive.
As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! I had the scrambled egg sandwich, and since I’m vegetarian, they happily left out the bacon for me. It’s always nice when a restaurant caters to dietary preferences so effortlessly.
To round things off, the coffee was solid—a perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
The ambiance was also lovely, making the whole experience even better. Honestly, I can’t understand some of the four-star reviews here. This place deserves at least a 4.5, if not the full five stars!

Read moreJust got back from Paris and discovered this lovely French Cafe and Bistro, Suzette right on the water in Sausalito with a Brilliant View of San Francisco and the Moonrise. The Ambiance felt like I was in Paris , beautiful interiors lovely comfortable seats. As soon as I sat down the sweet server came by and gave us the Menu which was full some of my French Favorites. My husband ordered the Salade Nicoise which had fresh Seared Ahi Tuna and tasted so good. I had the Scallops which were perfectly grilled with a fresh tomato sauce. (definitely order the grilled bread to dip in the sauce), my son had Le French Onion Burger which he loved. ("The crispy onions gave it some yummy texture.") The Staff was so kind and attentive. I loved that the chef owner came out and checked on us too. I had a N/A Drink and tasted really nice. I highly recommend Suzette Cafe & Bistro for a great meal. They are open from 8-8:30. The pastries looked delicious as well. Looking forward...
