Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been here several times, but see no improvement in the following areas, as I shop between Cherians and here. Customer Service is pathetic. Specific example, the old lady at the juice counter is very ARROGANT. Most spices and other items DON'T CARRY ANY EXPIRATION DATE, so please double check the dates before you buy. The customer service people BILLED me TWICE for the same item, especially when you buy multiple packs of same product, when i observed and notified them, they refunded the money, but kept the packet with them. Had to again let them know to return it. This happened thrice in 2 months, and i thought this is how their staff is trained, to double bill customers. So please TRIPLE CHECK YOUR BILL and also double check if they have BAGGED THE ITEM OR NOT, BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE. Walking into Patel Brothers felt like stepping into a whole new grocery world. If you're familiar with Nam Dae Mun, this is similarābut with way more authentic Indian and South Asian variety.
Every section of the store had something new to discover. From fresh produce I couldnāt even name (seriouslyāI was Googling as I browsed š ), to aisles full of spices, snacks, and ingredients you wonāt find in your average grocery store. We didnāt even make it down every aisle, but what we saw was enough to guarantee weāll be back.
The produce section was especially impressiveāloaded with unique fruits and vegetables I didnāt know even existed. Definitely a place where youāll want to do a little recipe research before you fill your cart.
As for prices, I was hoping for a bit lower, but considering these are imported goods and the joys of tariffs and trade, I get it.
Bottom line: A must-visit if youāre into cooking, curious about global cuisine, or just want to expand your pantry in a flavorful direction. Iāll be returning soonāthis time with a recipe...
