Motel 6 Scottsdale, AZ - Old town Scottsdale/Fashion Square — Attraction in Scottsdale

The older woman at reception is very nasty and hostile to random customers. She was aggressive and rude to me when I checked in and said something very sexist and derogatory to me. She was nice to the man before me. Then I walked to the desk she didn't greet me she just gave me a angry nasty hateful look and huffed angrily at me and was looking at me in disgust scowling. I hadn't done anything. I just meekly handed her my passport and politely said I'm hear to check in. She barked at me I can't have any guests, I told her I'm not having any guests its just me. She read the list of rules but she was barking them being rude sarcastic and insisting i can't have any guests in a very rude aggressive way even though I was saying im not going too. All hotels read rules to guests but in a rude way like that she then said to me in a disgusted voice that if someone hurts me she will have to deal with it and call police. I can't believe she thinks it's ok to say that to a woman travelling alone how dare she. What a disgusting comment and way to say it in such a hostile way. I was being polite. She said she had to coz management told her but there is no way they told her to target solo women and talk to us that way. I also have a foreign passport and accent so I'm obviously travelling as a tourist. I have an autism bracelet and she looked at it and gave me a very nasty look. When I went back to get managers details to complain about her she was serving a man who was acting very erratic and on drugs, he was falling all over the counter and getting agitated for no reason, I was waiting quietly at the back for my turn and she ordered me to go wait outside in the 105 degree heat. I hadn't even spoken to her yet. I walked over to desk and told her I will not do that I'm waiting inside the lobby till she finishes serving him she can't order me out like that. She can't treat people that way for no reason. The guy dropped his suitcase and started dropping money all over the counter. She was all over him insisting on helping him and saying she will come to his room even though he was saying no to her, it was creepy, she said I have to leave for his safety coz she thought I was going to steal his money even though I was standing well away from the money and went nowhere near it, she ordered me to wait outside in the heat again when I hadn't even done anything so I got really annoyed at her and refused to leave it was 105 degree outside. She acts in an antagonistic way then wonders why people get upset when we are reacting to her behaviour. Then he leaves and she served me. I said I want managers details to complain about her if not today I will try contact them another day she said there's no way to make a complaint and refused to give me info on how to when it's easy you can do it via motel 6 website but she was acting like there's no esy i can complain about her. Instead of giving me a refund and info to contact she started serving another lady over me, and when I got annoyed, she threatened to call police and say I was harassing customers when I only spoke to the other lady to say sorry coz she was in the middle of us arguing and I never spoke to the man on drugs. I was not harassing other customers. I got angry at her which I shouldn't have but I was sick of her treating me like that. She is very sexist coz she was hostile to me and nice to the guy acting like that, I was polite when I checked I only got upset coz of how she was treating me. She said she'd give me a refund then says shes not cuz she's worked in motels for years and knows my game??? I was visiting Arizona as a tourist to see cactuses I only had a very short trip and she ruined my trip. How dare she judge people like that. To make it clear I was polite she acted antagonistic and did degrading things like order me outside to wait in heat and act like I'm going to have men come to my motel room and assault me then wonders why I got so upset. I have been staying at Motel Six for over three months now and overall, I haven't encountered many problems during my extended stay. However, there are a couple of issues that have left me feeling a bit concerned.

One major concern is the occasional unauthorized entry into my room. There have been instances where I stepped out to grab a coffee from the mall, only to return and find the room door left open with my laptop sitting on the table. Little do they know it was recording but This lack of consent is alarming, as it puts my belongings at risk of being stolen. It would be comforting to know that my privacy and security are always respected.

Additionally, the cleaning schedule seems to be a bit disruptive. Despite me working night shifts, the staff would knock on my door at 10 a.m., often not giving me enough time to properly itemize my belongings beacuse they fail to provide a safe . It's frustrating that they don't consider my work schedule, and it feels like a disregard for my daily routine.

On the positive side, the overall experience at Motel Six has been satisfactory. The rooms are comfortable, and I haven't encountered any major issues apart from these concerns. I kindly suggest that they take customer privacy and work schedules into account while maintaining their cleaning routines.

I believe that bringing these concerns to the attention of the motel staff or management would help improve the overall experience for future guests.

I recently stayed at Motel 6 by Fashion Square, and I must say that the staff and service were outstanding. The all-stars of the team are Leslie and Nancy, who are exceptional role models for other team members. Their customer service was truly exceptional and set them apart from the pack. They should definitely receive raises for their excellent work.

The entire staff demonstrated a lot of understanding and empathy towards my situation, which made me feel welcomed and cared for. I believe they should be what motel employees strive to be like. Other employees should be encouraged to look at Leslie and Nancy for guidance.

The maids were also rock stars, always willing to help and provide me with everything I needed. Their friendliness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

Moreover, the motel's location was highly convenient, with plenty of restaurants and activities nearby. I particularly enjoyed exploring Old Town Arm's charming streets and visiting Fashion Square mall. The mall has a variety of high-end stores, including Louis Vuitton and Vans, among many others, as well as several restaurants.

This was the worse place I have ever stayed we had 4 rooms reserved ,in our room, the corners of all the walls were falling out not to mention they had termites at the bottom of the sink wood There were dead roaches inside the toilet that they cleaned up from somewhere and forgot to flush when searching the rest of the room we found a bottle of antidepressants that somebody had left behind under our bed !!! Not okay when my sister got there to check in an older blonde woman with a bad attitude Racist and Judged all of us from the beginning She proceeded to ask my sister if she was with the rest of that biker gang mind you we were there, trying to enjoy bike week My sister responded.
