Awful does not even begin to describe the s* show that was our meal. Perhaps amateur hour would be a better descriptor : We had a party of seven, and the service was impeccable. There were only a few tables this evening, so we had the full attention of the staff. Sadly, anything we tried to order, was either out of stock (all of the vegetarian flatbreads and a few other items), or the waiter and waitress strongly discouraged us from ordering said items (the lasagna, the impossible burger). One person ordered the salmon, medium well, so it is flaky per the waiters recommendation. Within the first quarter inch, it was completely raw in the center, and was sent back, and the person who ordered it asked that they not return any food. Another person ordered the Ratatouille, which is quite an easy dish to perfect . The flavors were delicious, however, when the cook put it in the microwave for 3 minutes, they forgot to stir it afterwards, so it had cold pockets and scalding.pockets in it. The presentation was quite nice though and the bread delicious The steak frites, looked beautiful, but it was quite chewy, and unedible. About 85% of it remained on the plate and nobody ever asked how it was. The burgers looked delicious, and nobody complained. Except the folks who wanted the impossible burgers. The cocktails were perfect, and very boozy. A win for us for sure. The wine selection they had in stock was equally delicious. The check came with a bunch of additional charges for things.that nobody ordered. Because they didn't bring an itemized sheet, it wasn't noticed until after, and then the person paying had to go in and speak to someone about it.
This restaurant is clearly someone's vanity project. I'm sure if you drink enough here, then this is acceptable, but not for...

This review highlights; Asparagus Nicoîs; (tuna conserva, hard-boiled egg, avocado, tomatoes, olives) + nonfat iced matcha green tea latte. Both items, situated at a moderately high-price point & contained high-value for points listed. I was so impressed, that an identical order was placed on three separate occasions. Needless to say, Zinqué was able to inspire repeat orders due to emphasis placed on quality, exact cooking methods, generous portions & flavor profiles. The taste of my Nicoîs was on par with mainland cooking techniques. Zinqué succeeded (on all three occasions) at bringing the flavors of France to...
Read moreAfter spending a decent chunk of time in the afternoon holiday shopping, Zinqué was my favorite pleasant surprise of the day! I absolutely love both their indoor and outdoor spaces. It is so nicely tucked away yet easily accessible. Despite arriving at nearly 5:00, we were pleasantly surprised to find out you could get a table immediately. I sense this is more of an '8:00 p.m. is still early' kind of spot because of its very impressive and prominent bar.
The space is contemporary but there is so much warmth with unique small details spread throughout. I found the loveseat table combinations cute and thoroughly enjoyed sitting in one but I feel at times it may be impractical.
My husband ordered the steak frites while I had their grass-fed burger and french fries. I hadn't eaten all day and was feeling a little woozy. Our server was kind enough to bring out my french fries first so I had something to nibble on while we waited for entrees. My husband is a steak fanatic and was a little worried when he saw the somewhat small portion of the steak. However, what it didn't have in size, it made up for it in quality. He was very satisfied with his meal. As for me, I told my server that the burger was one of the best I've ever had. Simple and high quality ingredients made it a standout. All in all it was a very nice experience and we would...
